if it’s indoors in August, I would leave it as is. If outdoors, you may want to shorten the sleeves, or look for a shorter sleeve bolero.

Altered how?

I love the dress and like the lace jacket. Isn’t it pretty warm in August in Cali though? Here it is like disgustingly hot.

No. It’s very chic now, thanks to Kate, long sleeves are in again. If you don’t think it will be to hot, I say go for it.

As long as you’ll be comfortable in it, leave it as is.  No one will think anything of it.

Good luck 🙂

I ♥♥♥ lace/sheer sleeves– indoors, outdoors, wherever! If you think you will feel more comforatble wearing a lace jacket, that’s what’s most important! Your confidence will radiate! Here’s the one I’m wearing:

I think you should leave it on. A lot of people do the short sleeve bolero nowadays and your guests will be taken back by how incredibly stylish you are!!

I actually got the same exact bolero! Also and August wedding in California here.  I see you’re Irvine! I’m in orange county too! I’m getting it altered to be a bit shorter and to make it fit better, but keeping the sleeves long.  I love them, and I’m really hoping I won’t be outside too long so it won’t get too hot.

Do you have the bolero now?  Is your wedding in the day or evening?  If you have it now, I’d try wearing it during the hours you’ll have your wedding and see how comfortable it feels.
