@SugerPlum: Why not just call them and ask??? It probably depends on when you bought the dresses though.

You should talk to a sales rep. about it. I would say go in because you can get more results when you talk face to face with someone. Also don’t expect them to adjust the price unless the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses were recently picked out and/ or purchased, because if you had them on file for a while before the sale happened some bridal shops still won’t adjust the price becasue you picked them out at that price… It’s annoying but they do do that. I have never worked with davids bridal on this sort of thing but I’m sure they will work with you since I have only ever heard good things about them. Good luck I hope you can get them for a better price.

I too was going to say just call them. Then report back and the answer will exist for future reference.

Hi! New bridesmaid here. I’m encountering a similar problem. The rest of the bridal party (5) was able to purchase identical bridesmaid dress with an additonal $20 off in three different locations scattered across the state for a final price of $109 or $115 ish with tax depending on the city. We all ordered the same color and size. I was the only unlucky one who did not get the additonal $20 off making my final price for each dress $129 or almost $140 with tax. The bride purchased her gown at DB AND I was the only one who purchased two of the bridesmaid dresses but did not get a discount. I was the first one in the bridal party to make the purchase. The second bridesmaid made her purchase an hour after I did in a different city. I called my home store two hours later and the manager would not honor the price.

I spoke with the assistant manager and she assured me that ALL of the locations made mistakes and that the whole bridal party just simply got lucky and that her hands were tied. I called twice, the day I made the purchase and two days after when I realized everyone in the bridal party received the discount. I even called the stores that the other bridesmaid made the purchases and they told me to call my home store. I e-mailed dbicare and called the hotline with no response.

Am I simply SOL?

Ubiquity:  UPDATE: I called a second nearby DB to ask for the DM’s email address and to my luck the DM answered the phone. I explained to her my situation and she assured me that she received an e-mail regarding my purchase. She told me that the other locations did make the mistake but they will credit back the money to me and that the store will call me back. Hour later no call so I called the DM back and she said that I was suppose to call my home store to give them my information. I call my home store wait for 20 mins get disconnected, call second time I get disconnected, finally third try manager was super friendly and credits me back the money.

The only down side is that they had to re ring my transcation and my delivery date was pushed back 3 days.

Did you purchase a dress at David’s Bridal and then a week later you see that it’s been discounted at a lower price? If you call your store and they tell you that all sales are final and they will not price match it… that’s a lie. You have 10-14 days to dispute it and to receive a price match. If they tell you that you only had 2 days to do a price match. That’s a lie. If you purchase a dress and it’s too big or small and it has never been altered you do have the right to exchange for a different size.

Just for future reference if a dress is discounted after your initial purchase you have 10 days to dispute for a price match. Stores claim 10 days corporate claims 14 days. The store will re-ring your purchase to credit you the money back and give you a later delivery date. If the date of delivery is after your wedding date then they will credit the money back to you when you pick up the order…four months later. If the assistant manager refuses to honor the price adjustment ask to speak with the General Manager then the District Manager. Those two are the only ones who can give you the quickest results when you’re in a time crunch. Please approach with friendly demeanor. Remember, you will catch more flies with honey than vinegar. If you do not get results at your store level then go to DB facebook leave a comment. PM their FB page about your situation with your e-mail address and contact phone number. They will not respond in their PM. But on their FB wall they will tell you to email [email protected]. DBcares will email you back two days later saying that they cannot match the price which is a lie but you’ll have it for your records that you did email them. Then proceed to call David’s Bridal customer service line 18008232403 Press 2 and Press 2 again. Leave your message and number and a customer rep (Maryann) will contact you within two days or so. I think there is only one customer rep. You better pick up when they call you because it is impossible to reach them otherwise. It will be a 610 area code. Remember do not take “No” for an answer. The stores want to make the most money as possible and it hurts their bottom line to price adjust a measly $20 or so. Research their policies by calling other surrounding stores to verify if what you’re told is the truth. Best of luck to future consumers who shop at David’s Bridal.
