I was there because I wanted one of the girls to try on a particular Bridesmaid or Best Man dress. We had time so I tried on two dresses. The above is completely different than I envisioned but is pretty nice. Very tempting because only $350 (clearance). However, not seriously looking until January. Ii wish my arms weren’t so big lol. Oh well … Please note that the lady had me try on the dress with three inch heels haha (even with those uncomfortable shoes on, it was much too long).

@lilmissangel03:  Thanks! I almost got the trumpet Vera Wang till I tried on my dress and that dress was just soooo fun. The dress number is, CWG568  It is a brand new Oleg Cassini I paid $1300 for it. My veil is by Vera Wang VW370017 $248. They both look a lot more expensive than I paid. I did not get that tiara. They were trying to talk me into it, but I just did not like it. Just beware with ordering the dress if you get it and your wedding day. It can take up to 20 weeks to come in. :(I am a little concerned about that! Mine should be in around April if that’s correct.

I did not end up buying from DB, but there were some good contenders there.  I think that if I had to buy a dress that day, I would have bought this one:

However, I also really loved this ballgown, which my mom and bridesmaid named the “Grace Kelly dress”.  We actually tried it on to play a prank on my other bridesmaids.  I had been very vocal that I did not like ballgowns, but I ended up really loving this one.

@lilmissangel03:  Love this thread! So many people smack talk David’s Bridal but it’s like… not everyone has thousands of dollars to drop on a dress. I definitely plan on going there when I start dress shopping.

DB was my first dress shopping stop and I tried on a bunch of dresses. I didn’t end up with any of them, but maybe the pics can be helpful to other bees 🙂 My fave was the middle dress in the second set.

I actually just exchanged my dress today! I have two dresses I can show you ladies!!

This was my first dress that I exchanged today!

The picture on the left is the day I bought it and the picture on the right is a more recent picture.  I actually posted not that long ago about how I was on the fence with my dress pick….I went to David’s today to get a veil and I ended up seeing a dress trying it on and walking out with a completely new dress and I am so happy I changed my mind!

And this is my new dress!!! I am completely in loveeeeee with it!

Here are a few I tried on:

This one I nearly bought, but my mom talked me out of it. Though I have no regrets about the dress I picked, I still think this one is really lovely (especially with the addition of a sweetheart neckline)…

This one looks better in photos than I think it did in person (on me, anyway). I felt I looked like I had large hips in it:

This one felt like a nightgown – very comfortable, but not particularly special:

@SummerOfLove:  Yes, exactly. I don’t think they are awful either (actually, some of them are downright nice). After all … We are wearing it for typically just one day so as long as it lasts that day, that should be enough … There are only really two shops in my town that are dedicated to gowns that are less expensive and new (and just because you are in a second hand shop – consignment – it doesn’t mean you still won’t pay a pretty penny for the dress). One of the two happens to be David’s Bridal. I actually had a good experience when I was a bridesmaid when I lost a bunch of weight and they exchanged the dress for a size down (they aren’t supposed to – I didn’t put up a fuss, I just asked and the manager did that for me even though they aren’t supposed to).
