I tried on quite a few dresses at David’s bridal but not a lot of each particular style. I am wondering if anyone has opinions on their sizing, whether or not it’s consistent.
In other words, I tried on several dresses and what most consistently was their 16. Would you feel safe ordering an online only 16 if you were me, having this experience, and of course using the size chart to be sure?
Thanks in advance.

I tried on maybe 15 (ish) dresses at Davids. Every sample 10 fit me really well. Every 12 was too big, every 8 was uncomfortable to zip/wouldn’t zip all the way.

I tried on almost every style at DB!! I found that their sizes are pretty true to size…for me at least. I tried on mostly twos and they fit well. Fours were slightly loose and the sixes I put on had to be pulled back a lot for me to get a good look. I would definitely feel comfortable ordering online.

I tried on TONS of dresses at DB, and I find their sizing to be pretty consisent. It may vary a bit between DB’s own brand, Galina, Oleg Cassini, etc. but not much.

My sister tried on several bridesmaid dresses at DB, all size 16. They all fit her perfectly. So she ordered her dress in a size 16 and when it came in, it wouldn’t zip up all the way! I was so frustrated, because no one at DB ever asked to measure her, they had her order the dress from the sample sizes she tried on.
So my word of warning is to consult the size chart carefully – a lot of those samples are streched out from being tried on so many times.

Thanks everyone. I was considering a DB online as a “backup plan” so this is good to know but now I think I have a whole new plan. 🙂
