- Wedding: August 2011
So, I went to Davids Bridal about a month ago and tried on a bunch of dresses to find a style that worked for me. Being a plus-sized girl, I decided on something A-line, with some side-draping or cinching at the waist to give me more of a shape. But while I liked the dress I was convinced was the best, it just didn’t really ‘wow’ me. So after deciding to sleep on it for awhile, I saw DB’s sale section and decided to take a chance on a dress that seemed to fit all my requirements, the 9SAS1212, shown here:
Even after searching through the forums and Google, I haven’t really been able to find any pictures of anyone actually wearing this dress. So I took a leap of faith and ordered it in ivory. It arrived last week, and I opened it and tried it on, only to find it was a size too small – despite the fact I ordered a 20W, the same size I was trying on in the actual store. So, BOOOOOOO! And since it was a sale, no returns or exchanges. But at least the length looks right, and the straps are a little long but that’s easy to fix. I actually like that the skirt is fairly narrow and not too poofy, since the ruffly poofiness isn’t really my thing. Just sure would be nice to actually zip it up! So now, I need to come up with a workout plan before August.
No real point to my story otherwise, just was curious why I haven’t heard more about this dress – anyone else wear it for their big day?
