David’s Bridal US is not really a discount store. More of a bridal big box store.

Debsy:  I wondered this too. I don’t think we have an equivalent over here, it’s more just little boutiques isn’t it. Oh it’s at Westfield the UK version right?

Debsy:  David’s Bridal dresses are exclusive to, and created for, David’s Bridal. Vera Wang and a few others have lines that they do design for DB, but they are different dresses from their other lines.

Would Berketex Bride be similar to David’s Bridal? That’s what I thought until reading this thread but I don’t think Berketex Bride do their own dresses. That’s the only “chain” I can think of in the UK though.

I went to the Westfield DB, I also went to several local boutiques. I ended up buying my dress from DB (I went for a Vera Wang) so visited several times. I had a different consultant each time and always had a great experience, I would recommend it. The staff were not at all pushy and very helpful. The shop is also big, bright and nicely presented.

I think the prices are very reasonable, and I didn’t notice a big difference in quality from the dresses I tried at other stores (which were up to £2,000).

As far as I am aware the UK one doesn’t have these big sales like in the U.S., like the $99 sale.
