At your fitting the seamstress should be able to help you with that. She will show you the different types of bustle options and you can decide then. Good luck – let us know how it goes!

Love this dress.  Most of the trumpets/mermaids I’ve seen are a French bustle.  You could also do a mini-version of this:

My seamstress color-matched the ribbon to the button.  So, the pink ribbon went to the button sewn on with pink thread, etc.  It was very easy to figure out that way.

@future.mrs.v: I would get a french bustle. They look so great and not just like a pinned up dress. I would at least ask to see what it looks like. I know it is harded to do for a seamstress, so the don’t always recomend it.

I love this dress!!  It’s a lot like jackie-o’s dress.  I’d bet she has pictures of her bustle posted!!
