Report them to the Better Business Bureau. Get your story on the local news. Change your phone number to unlisted and be very selective about who you give it to.

I had so many calls from people after giving them my number.  Wait til you get the calls from people claiming you “won” something.

I have had to turn my ringer off and start screening calls. I keep getting calls from vendors saying that I won contests. I haven’t entered any contests with them. It is really annoying. I didn’t even get my dress from them. I just signed up on their website, so I could look around.

I went to DB’s once, and they called me multiple times after that.  Finally, I told them I’d already bought my dress somewhere else (true) and to take my number off their list – I did NOT want to hear from them again.  And they did!  I’m actually surprised that it worked.  But I still get the emails…

SO annoying.

Funny story: one of our groomsman is getting married as well and they keep getting these calls too. He likes to mess with telemarketers. He usually says something to the effect of “Oh man, the wedding’s been called off I can’t take getting these kinda calls anymore. You guys’re killing me here”. That usually gets the caller to apologize & take the # off the list. LOL

They did that to me, too. And they forced me to give my number when I ordered my Bridesmaid or Best Man dress. I get all these calls from 800 and 866 numbers now, and I never used to. I don’t give out my number.

I didn’t have this problem with David’s Bridal, but I did not purchase my gown through them. I did laugh when they wanted my FI’s number and my mother’s phone number. I declined to give it to them. The girl gave me an irritated look, but it has saved some hassle.

I told them I don’t give out my phone number (I was trying on dresses–I realize they might need it if I ordered). They asked about 4 times, but I just repeated that I don’t give it out.

My email, I gave them my junk address, and unsubscribed from the first email they sent out. I was about to say it worked, but suddenly, it seems other wedding things have that email address on their list. Gee, I wonder where they got it?

Cell numbers can be put on do not call lists now too (most states anyway)

I started telling them that my fiance had left me and I was no longer planning a wedding.  That at least stopped the callbacks.  Then I went on to the David’s Bridal website and changed my info on their website.  That stopped all the calls.

They only called me once and I told them I bought my dress elsewhere and that was the end. Did you ask to be taken off the list? The blood center does this to me and it drives me crazy!! 3 calls a day, hope it’s not that bad!

When I signed up with them, I gave them a bogus number.  It also happens to be the bogus number I give guys at bars when they won’t get the hint and back the eff off.

Oh, and if you spell out the number with letters on the phone, it spells “a$$hole” 😛
