I am so super pumped about my undergarments for my dress!! Here is why ladies!!! I bought my dress from David’s (on clearance, which was AWESOME!)….well anyway. The undergarments that David’s has were not exactly what I expected for the price. The slip I used when I tried on my dress felt like an old windbreaker material, and it did not lay flat under my dress, and my dress has to front seams, princess seam? I’m not sure if that’s what she called them or not.. Either way there are two seams down the front that are visable, but with the David’s slip they were sooooooooooooo defined and visiable! It made the dress look terrible to me because the slip would move and the dress would or the opposite and I would have now four visible seams in my dress!! Moving on to the bra, oh this was a nightmare at David’s, I’m in between sizes and depending on which brand my size ranges. I usually wear a 34DD and in so bras I can get away with a 36 band on the tightest notch and a D cup. Well at David’s (I went at least 3 times dress shopping) I tried on a few different styles and sizes, none of which fit me right. They would either be too big, too small, the boning would cut in, or the bra would show. And my biggest gripe with the David’s undergarments was the price! The bra was at least $80 depending on which you picked and the slip was $60-70! So that being said I turned to the internet and searched for a slip and a bra. I wanted something with a bit of spandex material for my slip to smooth over some of the “lumpy” areas and I wanted a bra that was comfortable. I am not one to buy clothing online because everything can be sized so different but I was at my breaking point, I refused to pay $140 or more for just UNDERGARMENTS.
So as a result I found an awesome slip, it has a nice spandex-ish material that lays so smooth. And the crinoline at the bottom for the “mermaid/fit&flare” look is fantastic! The slip continues down to the bottom so your legs are not being scratched by the crinoline. The sizing was a little weird I had to read some of the reviews to get an idea; I ended up going with a medium. It fits perfect, it smoothes over the areas I wanted it to with out it being super tight and hard to move in. And as an added bonus the slip was $50! Still a little high in price but hey what can ya do? The slip is just absolutely awesome! And the bra, the bra was a tough one to order! I was nervous about what size to order and if it was able to be returned and if it was expensive. Oh the bra was a nightmare, but I can safely say I am super satisfied with my purchase! I ended up ordering a 36D because I had read on several reviews of different bras to go with a band size up just incase the corset ran a little smaller. The band of the corset fits just fine I am able to hook it on the middle set of hooks. The cup is all right I am slipping out of the top just a bit but I’m not too concerned with that. The corset has a nice low back so the bra won’t be visible with my dress. And the best part I think!!!! The sizes have boning, not the front, the front has a padded panel. And I don’t mean padded panel as in the cups…. The whole front of the bra has a little bit of a cushion so to speak! It is absolutely awesome I think and it only cost me $21! The transition from the bra to slip is flawless when on together! I am so happy with my online purchase! I am going to put the links down below incase any ladies can use them! I can’t say anything bad about my purchases! I am so excited to wear them and know that I got both for the price of what David’s wanted for one piece!!
