(Closed) Day 1 of the Shred… and P90X???

oh my…. i want to start the shred…. i did p90x for 5 weeks and was sore every second of it! i did lose a few pounds and a got tones up but man…. it was not easy ๐Ÿ™ hence my giving up lol!

I did p90x with my Fiance and he had better results than I did. I think it is geared more towards men (ie:pull ups- all kinds, push ups, things I coudn’t even dream of doing)

I am currently doing Insanity and I would TOTALLY reccomend it. It keeps you entertained since there is a different work out almost every day. My one piece of advice would be to not over do it. You should push yourself, but really listen to your body. Its really easy to get hurt or pull something while doing home workouts and then you have to stop till you heal. (which totally defeats the purpose to begin with)

You can do it!  I am also not the best at keeping up motivation (better at starting than finishing when it comes to fitness) but trying to get better…it’s hard, but we can do it!

I think a focus on healthier, more local/whole foods is a great way to eat better without feeling like you’re “on a diet”, but give yourself a chance to succeed–don’t change too much at once!  If the heavy pastas are something you love, have a small portion plus a nice salad or something, you know?

I did P90X and have lost around 50 lbs so far…with putting on muscle mass (3 dress sizes down, about 4 to 5 jean size, depending on the brand, 2 shirt sizes). At first i could barely do one pull up, now I can do a handful without assistance and about 15 more with a chair. You get stronger really quick, but you have to put the effort in. It;s hard work but the results are amazing!
