I guess it depends how many people you’re having, but.. since it’s an informal brunch (for us), we aren’t doing invitations for that.. we’re just spreading the word ourselves.  How many people are you inviting?  I guess ours is just our immediate families, wedding party/dates, and grandparents/OOT family, which does constitute a lot, but since it’s all immediate family/close Out of Town relatives & bridal party, we figured letting everyone know on our own would suffice.  But, I wouldn’t think the invites would have to match per se, since it’s a less formal event.. maybe just something basic in the same color scheme?

Discuss the invitations with your grandparents. Then you’ll know if you need to send them or if they intend to. If it’s an informal brunch, they can have their names on the bottom with the RSVP number only. They don’t need to match the rest of your invitation suite, unless you want them to.
