- Wedding: July 2010
So I have been thinking lately.
I love planning events/parties. I genuinely love planning! I’ve loved planning our wedding, I get no “I wish it was here and over with” feeling! Friends of mine have since been engaged and I love giving them tips and ideas for their weddings. Researching venues and just shooting them emails etc.
Friends of mine have jokingly said they will hire me when they get married to help plan their wedding. Maid/Matron of Honor said that again last night (jokingly). And I’m thinking, why not?
I keep looking for ways to earn some extra cash on the side. So why not do something I love doing?
I’m not talking like a wedding planner, more like a event coordinator that can provide day of services if needed. More someone to help with the research end of things and others if needed/wanted. For parties, weddings, showers, etc.
Don’t get me wrong. I love my day job. But I also love planning things so I just thought it would be a great way to earn some extra cash. I’ve proven with planning my own wedding that I can do both at the same time.
The thing is also that we do plan to have kids in the near future. So I’m not sure if that’s realistic with a newborn. But on the other spectrum I’ve been worrying that if it ends up more financially feasible for me to stay at home with the child what we will do with the loss of my income. And this would be a great way to supplement that.
Anyway, just food for thought.
Thoughts? Ideas? Yay? Nay?
