- Wedding: November 2016
We have a girl at my office who could be a professional bridesmaid. Meaning, she stands up in at least 4 weddings a year. Lately, she has been talking to me about a career change into sales or bridal gown sales or event planning….she is currently our department Executive Assistant.
To be clear, we are about the same age, she doesn’t report to me and isn’t MY EA. I need a day of planner for my wedding. My mom and maid/matron of honor want to be guests and are NOT detail oriented. I need someone to make sure we follow an itinerary and a time line I print and set out, so that I’m not looking at my watch or phone. I’m considering having the EA do it for me day-of, paying her, and then she can have it on her resume…thoughts???
I have negotiated all vendors and everything. Literally the only thing I would want her to do is be like “Oh its 10am, the hair girl is not here yet, let me call her” or “Ok people, its 2pm time to go down to the lobby to get in the limo for photos!” She would come to the wedding and give people the heads up when its their time to speak or toast, then after that she can hang out and be a guest….
I’m thinking maybe a potential for disaster, otherwise, why wouldn’t more people do this!?!?!? 🙂
