@kmarie719:  If you can start earlier, why not? You don’t want to have to rush getting ready on your big day! You want things to be more relaxed and worry-free. Pushing it back will ease your mind now and, most likely, also on the day-of.

My photographer told me that if anything is going to screw up the day-of schedule it will be hair/makeup because those things often don’t run on time. She was telling me horror stories of people who are prisoners in the chair–it’s not like you can just say “uhh nevermind, I’ll do it next time.” I’m planning to pad my hair/makeup time with an extra half hour so that even if they’re 15 mins late, we’re still early according to my schedule.

@kmarie719:  Definitely start the salon earlier.  I wrote in “15 minutes running late time” every hour in my day of schedule.

I think you need to start the salon much earlier.  My ceremony was at 6pm, and we started in the morning around 9am.  You definitely need more than 15 minutes to get dressed.  It can be an emotional thing, it’s photographed.  It’s just important that you’re not rushed on your wedding day.  You dont need any extra stress.

Start salon an hour earlier. I don’t see girls getting ready, one of them a bride in 30 min. Leave for salon at 10:15.
