I’m working on my day of timeline and I’m having a hairstylist and make-up artist come to the hotel and do everyone’s hair and makeu-up (4 BMs, 2 mothers, flower girl and me). How long should I budget for each person to be completely done with hair and make-up? One person can be getting her make-up done while another gets her hair done so I’m thinking about an hour each? Or is that too long/too short?

My hairdresser told me to budget one hour per girl for just hair, but that would vary depending on the hairstyle. The flower girl should take less time. You should talk to your hairdresser about it.

My stylist allowed 1 hour for my hair/45 minutes for makeup and 45 minutes for Bridesmaid or Best Man hair/30 minutes for makeup.
For every 4 people we added in an extra 20 minutes or so just in case anyone ran over.

one hairstylist for everyone? plan on it taking your entire morning. usually 45 min for hair at average depending on the style. allow an hour for yourself. for updos, i would say maybe an hour. for a down style, more like 30 minutes. ask your hairstylist how the girls should prep. some stylist prefer dirty hair, some prefer clean. it would also be helpful to know whether your stylist wants the girls to have naturally dried hair, blown out hair, straight or curly. to cut down on time, it’s important to know these things and have your girls ready before she starts. good luck!
