I’m having a bit of a problem nailing down my “day of” timeline, especially the reception schedule as we’re skipping some of the typical elements I’ve seen in other “day of” schedules. Fiancee’s opinion is “whatever you want ” (ugh!).
Things to know – majority of pics will be before the ceremony, reception & ceremony are at the same location. Est. 180 guests. No cocktail hours, no parent dances, no blessing.
10:00 AM – girls start getting ready – hair/makeup. We’ll eat while prepping. Stylist said it would take approx 3 hours, so I’m going with that plus a bit for foods.
1:30 PM (ish) – “First Look” pics at location (10 mins away). Bride & groom pics, wedding party pics.
2:30 /3:00 – family pics
3:30 – officiant, ushers, guest book attendant to arrive by this time.
4:00 – pics done by now, wedding party inside. Guests begin arriving.
4:30 – Ceremony start
5:00 – Ceremony over by now (will only be 15 minutes, but giving plenty of cushion). Receiving line. Guests will go inside, get settled.
5:30 /5:45 – Entrance. FH and I do short speech welcoming everybody & thanking them for coming, people for helping (or should we do this after dinner with the other speeches?), dinner begins.
6:45 ish (near end of dinner ) Speeches from Maid/Matron of Honor & Best Man, lead into cake cuting
7:00 – cake cutting (serving cupcakes to guests)
7:15 – first dance
8:30/9 ish or whenever dancing starts to ebb – bouquet toss
More dancing, till 11.
Am I missing anything, or does anyone see any problems/things that should be moved around??
