We did roundtrip transportation so that it was easier.  If you have your wedding party ride with you, remember that their significant others will likely have to drive separately.  So we did special car for just us, and a different car for wedding party and their signifcant others to ride.

We are renting 2 SUVs for us and the bridal party.  It comes out to about $300 for the weekend, but we traded in airmiles so we get it for next to nothing 🙂 Something to consider.  So the bridal party will drive with us for everything, except leaving the reception…we will take one SUV to leave the reception, and I imagine alot of other people will need cabs anyway.

For the one wedding I was in, the bride arraged for a limo for bridal party only (all 18 of us) from the ceremony to the reception site.  I was left to figure out how to get to the ceremony site and home from the reception site.  I eventually figured it out.  We had to ride in the limo because we drove around town taking pictures.

For our wedding we’re borrowing a friend’s SUV to transport our wedding party (all 6 of them) between the ceremony site and the reception.  Chances are I will discuss with them what help (if any) they need in getting to the ceremony site while having transporation available at the end of the reception.  With a smaller bridal party and less distance between the two venues it should be much easier than the wedding I was in a few years ago.
