Hi June brides! One of the things I am looking most forward to is picking my flowers, but since I was originally planning on an April or May date, now that I am in June I think I may need to re-evaluate my flower choices. I was dying to have ranunculus (ranunculi? 🙂 ) in my bouquet and centerpieces, but I see a lot of places list them only through May. I’m hoping since I am June 2nd, I may still be able to get them, but I don’t want to get too attached to the idea.
If budget allows, I’d love peonies, but I am also in love with garden and cabbage roses.
What June flowers are you planning on using?

I’m a June 2011 bride, but I plan on using a mix of roses and paper flowers.

I am a June 4, 2011 bride and I am planning on Gerber daisy, carnations and roses for my flowers. The venue does the centerpieces, which I think are mostly carnations and ‘sturdy” flowers, but I am ok with that. I am thinkining wedding colors of pewter dresses with darker pink (between pale and fushia) accents, so I think pink, white, purple, even orange daisies, pink and white roses and mulit colored carnations. Now, I have not seen actual photos of my ideas yet, so that may change…but I am running out of time!

I really want peonys for my bouquet. They are the only flowers that I want for it so if my budget only allows for a couple then that’s fine lol. My BM’s are carrying clutches. I believe I am using fake carnations for my pomander centerpieces they are going to be high enough off the table that I don’t think people will notice. I am not sure what I am going to do for bouts yet. Maybe no bout if we end up going the no-jacket route, if I do get them maybe a smaller fucshia flower.

White sweet peas for my bouquet – and my florist told me that peonies are actually not too expensive in June, so we might use them for our small cocktail table centerpieces.

@kitzy: That’s good to know – It would be my dream come true to be able to use them!

I still haven’t decided on my final color scheme, but I know the flowers I would use for my two choices! If I go with blue, I will have blue hydrageas as the main flowers, will yellow accents, maybe sunflowers. If I go with pink, I will use a mix of gerbera daises, with pinks, yellows, maybe even some orange/red. I love bright colors in the summer!

I just bought some really great quality hydrangeas at Michaels when I was there. I should have thought to check online for a coupon but I don’t have a printer :(. Anyway, I am using those for sure… they are the blue ones. I am not sure yet what I am putting with them but I am considering coffee filter roses.

I’m using Peonies, HUUUGE Dinner Plate Dahlias, Hydrangeas, Garden Roses, and Lilly of the Valley all in shades ranging from blush pink to medium pink. It’s going to be FABULOUS! 😀 And I’m keeping the cost down by ordering all these flowers whole sale and creating the bouquets, centerpieces, and pew decorations myself (I love to craft, so why not have a DIY wedding?!)

our are a “Cascade Bouquet of Pale purple roses, deep purple lisanthus, blue corn flower,Bright greens etc” I love it. It looks like someone went into a field and picked a bunch of flowers. So pretty to go with out purple theme.
