hey bees! We are considering a location that would require us to hire a full service caterer. Please share yours. And any advice for us if we go this route.
I am thinking we could provide alcohol and save some $ there. Also, the facility is a blank slate so the caterer would need to provide everything from tables, to utensils, to food.

We are using R&R Catering and we’ve had a great experience with them so far. Dianna Gilbert is our main contact. We were super impressed at our tasting and have heard only great things from couples who have used them in the past. Good luck!

We are using Main Events Catering and our contact is Peggy. It was between them and another caterer who was a little cheaper, but then I saw my friends wedding and decided to go with Main Events.

@NJmeetsBX: We are using Matters of Taste Catering. Our contact is Cheryl and she has been very helpful. Went to an R & R tasting and it was good, but Matters of Taste won us over. Also got a proposal from Main Events, but has already settled with MOT. They allow you to provide your own alcohol, which helps to save $$.

Ours is a part of our venue, but I’ve heard great things about Catering by Uptown – we would have used them if we were at a different venue! They are based in MD but serve most of the DMV area – check ’em out 😉

We’re going to go with Helga’s Caterers. They catered my FI’s sister’s wedding and it was delicious! I’ve been working with both Michael (initially) and Lynda and both have been very helpful and seem to be very flexible (menu options, byob, etc.). We have quotes from a few different caterers in the area, and they definitely gave us the best price for what we’re looking for.
