Have you posted this on the DC board on The Knot? I know there’s a hair and makeup vendor spreadsheet floating around there that is super useful.

 

Also, I know Mrs. Tulip liked the Aveda Insitute route, so I did a trial there, and while the makeup looked great, it was almost gone within an hour because it’s all-natural. The makeup artist even told me that she wouldn’t recommend it for wedding makeup because it doesn’t have much staying power. So don’t lament it being closed on Mondays too much…

I am personally a fan of the pr @ partners chain of salons- and most of them have make up artists as well.

my co-worker hit up the macy’s at gallery place and scoured the make up counters until she met a woman (Naiema I think) at the Benefit counter, who came to her hotel and did the entire wedding party.  I think department store make up ladies may be the way to go…

I like PR @ partners too they have a lot of taleneted stylists and are pretty reasonable.
