My hat is off to you for saying what I so often want to SCREAM at people! My other biggest pet peeve is capitalizing random words. I have a FB friend that posts things such as, “Im Picking the Kid’s up from School Today”. No joke. And they are also a BIG fan of making plural nouns possessive, or leaving out apostrophes. Reading her posts makes me feel like my head might explode. I also format/edit executive’s resumes for a living and, let me tell you, nobody likes to capitalize random words more than sales executives. Sweet day in the morning. Any word that looks like it might be important is subject to capitalization. It just kills me.
And to all the people bitching about this being a “snarky” post, it is not. It is merely another vent for people who are annoyed by atrocious grammar. Am I guilty of typos? Absolutely. Is my grammar perfect? Not hardly. However, when people write posts that are written in what can barely be called a rough approximation of English then they deserve to be called out.
