My girls wore a dress from Vera Wang at David’s Bridal. While none of them have worn it again, I know one of my bridesmaid’s sisters borrowed it for a wedding and one of my other bridesmaids was deciding if she wanted to shorten her for her last sorority semi-formal. I even debated borrowing it for a wedding this summer but I decided I don’t want to wear navy. I had 7 girls so some liked it a lot and others not as much.

I let my bridesmaids choose their own dresses, and we went with black, so I know they will definitely wear those again.

I really hope to. That is why we are going with a neutral color (Brown, which so many people have been rude about, but my bridesmaids appreciate), short dresses, and am letting them pick out whatever dress they can agree on.

I think they’re re-wearable…

…but it’s MY favourite colour. At least one of them doesn’t really like the colour, and the dress is dry-clean only. I went for the option of paying myself and not worrying about whether they’re re-wearable.

They probably won’t.  They wore floor-length gowns, and although all the girls thought they looked gorgeous in them and liked the dresses (or at least did a really good job at pretending to), none of them have any upcoming events where they could wear such formal ballgowns.  :-

Both my BM’s dresses could have been rewearable.  However both girls are not “dress” girls and don’t or rarely go somewhere they need to be wearing a dress.  I know one of the Bridesmaid or Best Man asked me after the wedding if I would be offended if she sold/donated the dress. I told her it’s her dress she could do whatever with it.

Not sure what my JR Bridesmaid or Best Man did with her dress.

I liked J.Crew dresses, so I just picked a color & fabric & had my girls pick which one they liked best. Two (out of three) said they picked their dresses specifically because they knew they’d be wearing them again. The third one doesn’t wear dresses almost ever, so she probably won’t wear hers again.

The dress I chose for my girls was a short, gray, convertible dress by Henkaa and it can def be worn again.  I saw in a few pics where girls put a belt around the waist and rocked it with flipflops.  It can be formal or casual — it’s just a nice dress.  I wanted gray and pink at my wedding but liked the idea of gray dresses to make the flowers pop.  Gray is a neautral and could def be worn again — I had to buy my sisters but one is a tomboy and not into dresses as much.  It’s a one size fits all and if she doesn’t want it afterwards I’m gonna snatch it lol.  Love it

Being a bridesmaid a number of times…I will be the first to say that no matter what the designer, I have never worn a single one of them again. I wore Melissa Sweet, I wore J. Crew, I wore Davids Bridal…no, no, no. I did loan the Melissa Sweet to a friend for a wedding she was in, but that’s it. I will never tell my girls that they will wear it again, for any reason, because in reality, they won’t (unless they get to pick their own dresses outside of bridal lines, of course). 🙂

My bridesmaids are wearing gray dresses of their choosing.  Since gray is a very neutral color, I’m sure they’ll be able to wear them again.  I definitely wore my black cocktail dress from my BFF’s wedding once or twice already.
