I like the song – it’s catchy and parts of it are funny – but I can’t say it reflects any of my real life view points for my future husband, hahaha.

Yeah, I agree with PP’s. I also find it fitting that the music video shows men posing in a doll-like way, as if they are merely puppets to be used.

I don’t love the song, but I’m not offended by it either. (And, frankly, I don’t understand anyone who is.)

I think it’s fun and goofy. Sometimes people take silly goofy things a bit too seriously.

If you were to reverse the roles in this song, a lot of women would totally hate it.

“Dear future wife: If I come home to dinner and a b***job every night, I might buy you flowers every now and then.”

I’m not personally offended by the song, but it lacks some serious thought.

Meghan Trainors collections of songs embodies everything I hate about “the modern woman”.

Between “you and all men should love yourself if your fat, but skinny women are plastic, fake unattractive” to “you HAVE to treat me like this, this, this, this and this if you want me to put out” (News alert Meghan, sex shouldn’t be a bargaining chip) I can’t stand any of her messages, and hate how she is marketed to younger audiences.

Ick, sorry, rant over.  Move along.
