would it kill you to take the stick out of your butt before being in ONE of our wedding photos?
D: aghhhh. Going through today and cropping them out before I post them. My friends told me previously they looked miserable through the wedding, etc… but really?
Just really tired, frustrated and sick of dealing with their crap…. their expressions make me sick. Honestly it’s so rude.
under our contract with our photographer we said we wouldn’t change or edit pictures after we got them, however I’m really tempted to do so for our personal use of an otherwise-great photo.
Sorry if this is a rant. I just needed someplace to say this before Darling Husband sees them later.

Oh noo!!! Grr I would be so mad!!!!! How annoying!!!! Immature

I literally laughed out loud at the first sentence!! Too funny!
On a serious note, I am really sorry you are going through this. Some people can be real doo-doo heads. My FIL’s always look miserable. They even looked miserable in FSIL’s wedding pics. Not sure if it is really because they are miserable or if it’s just their faces.
I kid, I kid.

Sorry, I too LOL. Mostly because I am in the same boat, and well, misery loves company. The only nice photos of my in laws are the candid ones our photographer got.
Hey, at least your Mother-In-Law didn’t talk to your mom about divorce rates DURING the reception.

@yellowshoe: “Hey, at least your Mother-In-Law didn’t talk to your mom about divorce rates DURING the reception.”
WTF, that’s awful!

haha. misery does love company, I’m thinking about putting them up regardless just because they look like such doo-doo heads. 😛 really. it only makes them look ridiculous.

I’m a little worried about this! My Future Mother-In-Law is not a miserable person but she hates having her picture taken and I’m afraid she’s going to LOOK miserable in every picture of her. Oh well… what are you gonna do?

@Lexy: crop them out most likely 😛
Darling Husband and I thought we avoided a lot of this by NOT having official family photos, I mean, we had a few shots with each member from each family…same with all our guests. But even when they made it into the background of our CEREMONY they had stinky faces on right in the front row. I don’t know if there’s any way to avoid it entirely except not having a photographer at all. :/ Just get through it and edit or pick and choose your happy photos after. :/

@SimplyChic11: You could always draw a moustache on them and see if anyone notices. Just tell them you were trying to liven up the pictures. On second thought, that might be mean. Don’t listen to me.

muahaha… oh dear. The fun we’d have together if you were really with me over photoshop and stinky faced pictures.

My best friend got married awhile back and all the shots of the in-laws look like they are there under threat they look so miserable. I DO NOT get it. So sorry they screwed up your shots!
If it makes you feel any better, I can almost guarantee that will be what half of my family will look like because they are all miserable. Thankfully, my in-laws are awesome and will be nothing but smiles!

You should talk to your photographer about it. As long as your not posting the results of your alterations online, I doubt they’d have an objection to you doing something to the shot to remove someone for the purpose of making a print.

That sucks !! But now I really want to see some pics !! hehe

Did they do it intentionally or are they just unphotogenic?
For some reason I am always blinking or making some dumb face in almost every photo. In almost 9/10 photos I look like an idiot. Just hoping your ILs were not doing it on purpose!

Can you photoshop the expression on their faces?? Aww that must be soo annoying for you. When you give them their thank you card include a picture they look miserable in and write, “thanks for coming, looks like you had a GREAT time” or “you looked amazing in this picture, thought you’d like to have it for yourself.” Is that mean??
