haha…yea, so i think i am about 90% close to convincing myself today that i will change the date to 7.9.11 which takes us from 1.5 yrs away and a 6k budget, to 6 months away and a 3k budget…..i am definitely crazy. lol
my reasoning?? well
1) i just cant wait to be FH’s wife, i love him so much and we want it to be legal already! lol
2) the realization that FH and I are bound to get pregnant soon (i’ve been off bc for 4 months and we have not been careful at all) has me wanting to get married sooner rather than later, for my own personal reasons, i would rather be married before having our first child…
3) the more i think about the big wedding and all the things i want and the work involved, the more i get stressed, the more i dont want to deal with planning it like that….so i’m thinking a smaller wedding is more realistic for us anyways and reflects us more than the big one….
think i’m crazy?? think it can be done??? ideas??

It can be done. Or I’ve heard it can. We were engaged for about a year before we set the date. I can totally understand the feeling antsy part. We went from it’ll happen to OMG, it’s only 10 months away. We’re itching to have a baby too. Not sure when to go off the BC though. I have an IUD. Don’t want aunt flo during the wedding or any weird hormone issues. You’ll have to be super frugal. If you keep things simple, you can have an elegant wedding that isn’t too pricey. We’re making our centerpieces. We are etching block vases. We’re gonna sink a flower in each vase. We will probably put three vases on each table, so that will be 3 flowers on each table. Really cut down the florist bill. I’m thinking of etching a memorial vase too for my Fiance. His mother passed away in 1999. Hit your family and friends of family for your vendors and maybe you will get deals. My FI’s friend is a photographer, so he’s doing our photography for cheap. His boss’s wife does cakes and is cutting us a deal on that too. Our videographer is starting out, so his prices were half of that of the other established vendors. This is more risky though.
