How is everyone holding up? i’m getting excited but nervous……..can’t wait to be married! 🙂
I’m anxious all the time now, I don’t even know why – I’m not too stressed because I did everything early so I wouldn’t be freaking out now..I mean there are still the last minute things but I think I can handle them. Plus my mom is off this week if shit hits the fan I’ll have someone to run errands etc. I can’t really place it, but I’ve had butterflies and anxiety to the point of being nauseous last Saturday. I’m assuming it’s just my subconcious worrying because I can’t figure out what the hell I’m worrying about!! I know it’s not about getting married, but maybe it’s just the way I’m handling the stress I don’t think I have??
It’s fixable in the sense that we can take it to an antique repair place and get it reassembled. It’s not usable right now because it was a hollow piece of porcelain weighted and filled with sand so right now it’s super fragile and I would feel much worse if it completely shattered rather than having the base of the handle bashed and broken out. So it’s not the end of the world, I’m just a little bummed that we were going to use this one of my parents and now we need to scramble and find one to use instead.
I’m also mad that the girl said “it just fell out of the engraving stand” when there’s no way based on how it broke that that could happen. It’s pretty apparent it was dropped as it was taken out. Also the way they handled it was just really poor– the girl called after hours on her personal phone. It just seems shady that she didn’t want to admit she broke it… so I’m going to go talk with the girl’s boss this week.
It could just you’re anxious for it to be done. This is totally different than “first day of work” anxiety, so I don’t know.
Well… resolution (yeh)! They’re going to pay the repair cost and I found one on Amazon that is a nice tolerable pattern. Horray for overnight shipping!
So, not my preference, but it should be worked out. I’m glad this happened on Monday, because I think I’m going to be crazier the closer it gets to Saturday.
Something you ladies might consider looking into is blogging about your pre-wedding days, maybe hop on right before you get married, and summarize up how everything went afterwards and how married life is!
It really helps me release any wedding stress I have by putting it all down on. . .err. . .screen? LOL. But it’ll always be there later for you to read, or if you want to add on to it, or share it with friends and family. :>
The one thing I had left to do was to finish printing off the names of guests on their menus and put them into their frames. Had about 50 to print on vellum. 5 or 6 in, the printer jams…like not fuckin fixable jammed. I took a screwdriver to the stupid thing and it wouldn’t come apart. ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW???? So Fiance, knowing how I am, says honey I will go right now and get a new one. What a good boy he is! So I sat and fumed and swore and cursed and then decided I’m going all Office Space on that fuckin printer tomorrow…and while I type this on the iPad he is setting up the driver for the new printer on the laptop…argh! Love him!
Stupid Printer!!! Good Fiance!! 🙂
Besides the stupid 10 minute spurts of butterflies I got today I’m holding up surprisingly well! I thought for sure I wouldn’t be able to sleep by this time, haha. My in laws just flew in today and a whole bunch more people tomorrow. Almost go time!!
Please take pictures when you reenact that scene on the printer.
After calming down, I realize that since I’m fairly green and pride myself on recycling and not wasting – it would be fairly hypocritical of me to destroy it into a million pieces. I can take it to an electronic recycling depot and they can reuse the parts. Damn it – I really want to beat the shit out of it! LOL
