How is everyone doing?? Is anyone stressed?
Aside from some minor guest list and chair drama (don’t ask) things are going really well!
We’re still getting crap for getting married on Pearl Harbor day (which Fiance and I were unaware of) when we booked our wedding but oh well. A date is just a date and soon it will be our anniversary date : )
Still to do-
-get Bishop’s permission (this is kind of a big deal…we’ve been waiting for 3 months. Hopefully we’ll know on Sunday!)
-marriage license <3
-day of timeline
-Buy FI’s suit/tie tomorrow
-make my Grandma’s fudge for favors
-clean our house top to bottom for the FIL’s (ugh)
-buy christmas present’s for the FIL’s (they are coming early to celebrate “christmas” with us this year because we don’t have the time to fly back to Toronto- not like we have anything else going on)
-meeting with event coordinator to finalize everything and pick out napkin colors tomorrow
-finish welcome bags
-pack up all wedding crap and our bags for our mini moon in the mountains
-finalize wedding rehearsal date and time
-harrass people for their rsvp (only 3 outstanding)
-borrow video camera and tripod
-download song for ourr first dance
-hair trial on 11/9
My goal is to get ot ALL DONE by November 15th so we can just relax and enjoy the rest of the month and Thanksgiving. We’ll see how that goes…….

@Penelopeee: Best of luck with the rest of your planning. Love Christmas time weddings.

I’m getting stressed and I have not been stressed at all until now!
My to do list: marriage license, place cards, programs, alterations, finalize ceremony, arrange timelines for day of stuff. It doesn’t sound like a lot but its very tedious stuff.
I’ve been engaged for way to long and I’m sick of focusing on the wedding and I want to start focusing on our marriage. I can’t wait!
Being able to say “next month” sounds so weird!!!

@Penelopeee: Your post just triggered a minor heart attack.…
Left to do for me is
-Final Dress Fitting (Wed!!!)
-Buy My Jewlery
-Pick Songs for Ceremony (almost done!) as well as play/do not play list
-Day of Timeline
-Finish up attendant gifts (almost done)
-Build custom card box (A tardis :)) and pretty my shoes (converse)
Oh and track down the 30 missing RSVPs.…out of the 90 people invited.
Why did this come up so quickly???? 😛

oh my goodness!!! I just made a list of 75 things we have left to do!!! I know half of it is stuff that doesn’t really matter and we could probably get away without it (escort cards, wedding perfume, wedding signage), but I am just not one of those brides! I’m kind of denial about only having a month left! Need to get on it!!!!

We’re almost their ladies! It has been a busy two weeks full of wedding stuff (getting FI’s and my dad and his step-dad’s tux; meeting the officiant; etc.). I’m so excited for this time of year and just know it will go by quickly because there is so much happening.
Still to do:
Wedding dress alterations (Nov. 16)
Hair/makeup trial (coming up soon!)
Get remainder of RSVPS/call those who haven’t sent them in
Figure out seating plan for ceremony/reception
Marriage license (have to wait until at least Dec. 2 for Dec. 31 wedding)
Pay deposit for flowers
Create day of timeline
Does anyone have any cool ideas for how to do a guest book for a New Year’s Eve wedding? We are struggling to find an idea we like.
Congrats everyone and Happy Holidays…almost!

Theres not long left to go now!! Eeeeek!!
IVe still got loads to do – my wedding ring, dress alterations, suit alterations, favours, order of services, paying off harpist, deciding on the menus, plus loads of little bits and pieces!

@KatiePi: what about buying a magnum of champagne and have your guests sign the bottle with silver and gold pens?

@Penelopeee: That’s a great idea! Thanks!

This came up SO fast! Just seems like yesterday Fiance and I were in the “just engaged” afterglow. LOL 😉
We still have to work on ceremony and music for our little elopement… We have all the other big details figured out. Also need to work on a timeline with our friendtographer… lol
So excited! We’re talking less than 30 days here… AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I was fine until I realized next week is “pay all the vendors” week, and then my bank account started to cry. Poor, sad, soon-to-be-empty bank account.

I’m printing all the Order of Services out today 🙂 Started making our favours but ran out of ribbon!
