nursebee22 :  thanks for the info.  Yeah since it’s still kind of painful to get it out (sorry, that sucks!), maybe I will schedule it during my period.  I feel like it’s kinda rude to the obgyn, but that’s dumb of me because it’s the recommended time to do it and they see a LOT worse things than that….

Regarding the Mucinex, I read something like take it O-4 through O+1 – basically during your fertile window.  I’m going to do that when we start TTC because why not!  It makes a lot of sense physiologically.

KittyYogi :  nope. I just got the first, fastest appointment available because I’m not going to tell my Darling Husband when I’m in my fertile window and we’re having sex. I don’t want him to feel anxious. I just told him that I’m getting it out, he agreed it was good for earlier rather than later, and he’s just going to wear a condom if he really wasn’t ready to start. This way, we have more chance to BD more and get the jitters out before the fertile window. Otherwise, it would be only a few days between removal and needing it to count.

nursebee22 :  I got mucinex, going to take it as said above

AquariusLove :  I had mad baby fever a few times over the years, plus I love to research. So now that we’re actually doing this, I’m bringing all of what I learned to bear on getting pregnant fast. Honestly, I’ll be a bit let down if it doesn’t happen fast because I feel like I have a good handle on process.

For fun: What is your favorite holiday beverage and/or candle scent? I love mulled wine at the holidays! It’s a shame I’m not going to be drinking this year!

As some of you may remember, our first cycle was on the October POAS boards. I got two squinters and then a whole slew of negatives, but no AF. We went to my OB and she determined that my PCOS was giving us issues with TTC, mainly it was messing with my progesterone levels and ovulation. We’re currently in the process of using medication to strip the lining of my uterus (it’s as fun as it sounds, trust me), and on December 19, we will be meeting with a fertility specialist to get the a-okay to start fertility treatments. So because of us basically stripping everything down and starting from scratch again, I’m not sure about the specific  dates yet. I’ll update the chart once I am. Right now, I am just really excited to get back on the TTC boards!

Your age/partner’s age: 26/38

Baby #: 1

Current Cycle Day/DPO: cd1, cycle 2, 35 day cycles

Ovulation Date: November Nov. 28ish

POAS Date: AF due dec 14th

Usual Cycle Length: 1st one off the pill last month was 35 days, longest ever!

Cycles Trying: This will be our 2nd month. I tried to use last month as a trial run and remain cool and casual about it but seeing that bfn really sucked. We learned a lot though! I feel much more prepared

BFP Plan (BD timing, charting, prenatals, supplements, etc.): LH strips, prenatals for 4 months now, fish oil, mucinex, baby aspirin, azo yeast capsules (learned that last month!)

Trying anything new this month? Using LH strips earlier and longer, an actual ovulation indicator with a smiley face so I know for sure, temping for real not just here and there, conception vitex capsules, and better bd timing now that i know how Fiance works better

Link to your chart if charting: using ovia app for now

For fun: What is your favorite holiday beverage and/or candle scent? champagne (hopefully I wonʻt be able to have any!) and probably cinnamon apple candle

Just placed my amazon order for all the new TTC stuff and I guess we can book our ALASKAN CRUISE for the spring !!

danakxox :  welcome! Why the fish oil pills? I ask because my prenatal specifically say that there is plant sourced DHA rather than fish oil sourced. So I’m wondering, should I be taking fish oil for something else?

December POAS girls, I think I may have Underestimated how difficult this is going to be waiting to test. I’m not even in the right cycle yet, and I’m counting down the days. I was like my period Has to be soon, and then realize I’m still 10 days out from that…. That whole 14 day luteal phase is going to kick my ass next month

Lots of first-time mama’s to be on this board so far! How exciting, can’t wait to see all the BFP’s and holiday announcements!

mrssanfran15 :  holy heck, stripping the lining of your uterus? Hopefully you don’t have to wait too long before it all pays off!

MooseMeese11 :  haha the first cycle or two is really hard! I know this is super cliche and annoying, but try and find something to take your mind away from TTC. It is so easy to become consumed by it, which makes negative tests that much harder (although I sincerely hope you get your BFP first pop!). I tend to obsess on things, so this has been really hard for me!

MooseMeese11 :  “There are two types of fish oil supplement. One is safe to take in pregnancy, and one isn’t: Supplements made from the body of fish, often called omega-3 supplements, are safe to take in pregnancy. Supplements made from the liver of fish, such as cod liver oil, are not safe to take in pregnancy.”

A baby book I read talked about how adding EPA and DHA to the diet of pregnant women has a positive effect on visual and cognitive development of the baby. Consumption of omega-3s may also reduce the risk of allergies in infants.

danakxox :  What is the name of the book, if you don’t mind me asking? Sounds like an interesting read.
