ROLL CALL

Your age/partner’s age: 33/30

Baby #: 1

Cycles Trying: about 1 year

Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD13

Usual Cycle Length: 30

Ovulation/Procedure (and what kind) Date: Will be having our 3rd IUI in the next few days (currently monitoring), while simultaniously starting IVF prep.  If this IUI does not work, we jump right into egg retrival in December as long as AF comes by December 1 (if not, December will be a month off, and egg retrieval will be January)

Known fertility issues: boarderline MF, PCOS, ovulatory disfunction

BFP Plan (BD Timing, supplements, charting, prenatals, etc.): clomid + letrozole + IUI, and adding the supplements suggested for IVF (coq10, dhea, asprin, D, etc)

Trying anything new this month?: recommended IVF supplements/vitamins

Link to your chart if charting: stopped charting once we started IUI – it has beena nice break to let someone else monitor

For fun: What is your holiday wish for this year (besides a little one, of course!)?  hoping I am able to drop a few lbs – the meds have put a bit of weight on me.  However with all of the yummy treats this time of year, it will probably remain just a wish!

mrs2b70 :  It sounds like you and I are on a similar timeline! I’m over on the November boards still, but I just did IUI #2 on Monday. If this cycle fails, we’ll likely start IVF stims that same week. Feels crazy to switch gears that quickly, but I’m glad we’re not wasting any time.

Officially checking in since AF (that b**ch) showed up late last night.

ROLL CALL

Your age/partner’s age: 32/36

Baby #: 1

Cycles Trying: This will be 12th, we were NTNP for 3 months before active cycles trying.

Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD2

Usual Cycle Length: Between 30-34 days

Ovulation/Procedure (and what kind) Date: Around Nov 28th.

POAS/Beta Date: December 14

Known fertility issues: I have issues with my TSH levels being too high, which means my Thyroid hormone levels are too low, was put on medication in June, still trying to find the right dosage.

BFP Plan (BD Timing, supplements, charting, prenatals, etc.): BD timing, pre-natals, charting using BBT. Also going to the doctor next Tuesday to get a referral to a reproduction specialist to get some further testing on my part.

Trying anything new this month?: Darling Husband is going to get his sperm tested to see if there is anything going on for his side of things.

Link to your chart if charting: Will update later in the month.

For fun: What is your holiday wish for this year (besides a little one, of course!)? I already got my wish, which is to spend time with my family, they live across the country and we are flying to my Darling Husband and my hometowns over the holidays and I can’t wait. I was listening to christmas music all day yesterday!

I just got off the phone with my RE to officially move our IUI out to January (I was secretly hoping Darling Husband might change his mind), but we’re going to be busy and traveling for the holidays anyway, so the time should go by quickly. My insurance covers IUI, but not IVF, but I’m still comtemplating skipping IUI to go straight into IVF. I know it can work, but it just seems like it’s not that effective, especially becuase we have unexplained fertility where everything has come back normal. If doing Clomid with the extra eggs didn’t work, it doesn’t seem like IUI will have that much more benefit. Darling Husband still thinks we should just give it time, but we’re at cycle 15 with only one early MC after trying for 6 months.

I’ve started my IVF research and am really torn about what to do if we get to that point. I’m in Southern California, so everything is more expensive here and I work from home, so it would be fairly easy to travel within the US, outside would be a little more complicated as I’m not supposed to take my computer outside the US, so I’d be taking time off work. The most affordable options here (with good results) are starting at $11,000 without ICSI, any tests, and meds of course, but I could go to Atlanta where my family is and there’s one that’s $8,940 for a fresh cycle and includes all bloodwork, ultrasounds, retrieval, transfer, ICSI, and even assisted hatching. I could go to Colombia (where my in-laws live) and do it for $5000-6000 without meds, so I think it will probably be down to those two, but I’d have to take vacation then.

tulipdazey :   cbn8787 :  Thanks so much ladies, I’m looking forward to figuring out what’s going on, and for Darling Husband to finally get answers too. It’s so frustrating on the other boards, I already feel so supported here, thank you for being so lovely!

tulipdazey :  Fingers crossed for you!!!

Ladies I have a few questions. I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow, I’m wondering if I should ask her for follow up bloodwork? Or just ask her to refer me to a specialist and they recommed the bloodwork and follow up tests? What tests should I ask for if so? From what I can tell I ovulate regularly but my lutheal phase may be a bit short sometimes. I’ll talk to her about all this and get a referal but this is a little stressful!

Also I have decided to try acupuncture, it’s covered under my medical plan, and honestly it can’t hurt (I found someone very reputable). I have my first treatment on Friday since I had a consultation this past Saturday.

ROLL CALL

Your age/partner’s age: 32/34

Baby #: 1

Cycles Trying: 21/22months

Current Cycle Day/DPO: waiting for AF after stopping my FET meds today

Usual Cycle Length: 35+

Ovulation/Procedure (and what kind) Date: ovulation mid december hopefully (if my ovaries cooperate 🤞)

POAS/Beta Date: late december

Known fertility issues: missing fallopian tube. I also suspect i have pcos but no one will diagnose me 🤷‍♀️

BFP Plan (BD Timing, supplements, charting, prenatals, etc.): Just BDing, temping, opks

Trying anything new this month?: going to read “it starts with the egg”. I have a feeling all this time my ovulation issues have been caused by my eggs not maturing like they should. We also got alot of eggs that weren’t mature when I had my egg retrieval.

Link to your chart if charting:

For fun: What is your holiday wish for this year (besides a little one, of course!)? For people to leave us the fuck alone and not mention babies or our plans for a family…
