mrswannabemomma :  this is just as expensive/ if not more but you can pay per month. I use an OvuSense, I realized I was terrible at temping and the Ava bracelet wasn’t great for pcos.

ive been pretty happy with my ovusense so far

mrswannabemomma :  I love my Ava, for me it was definitely worth the splurge (it was my 10th cycle present to myself lol).

tulipdazey :  I haven’t tested, but my temp dropped yesterday and I’m not feeling good about this cycle. I’m also sick so who knows what’s actually happening, but I’m expecting AF today or tomorrow at the latest. I’ll keep you posted.

I also thought about Ava, but I managed to temp okay. Plus after this next cycle, we’ll only be doing IUI/IVF, where temping really isn’t as important, so it doesn’t seem like it’s worth getting now.

Dr_dazzle :  Yes, I wonder if I should start temping vaginally? I heard it’s more consistent.

tulipdazey :  Thanks ladies for the input. I’m pretty good at temping, I temp everyday at 5am (I set a silent alarm on my fitbit so I never miss it). I always take it in the same spot, I just think I’m very restless some nights and my cheapie thermometer I think has a large standard deviation when taking the temp so I end up with a very rocky chart. I still can usually pinpoint O but I wish it was smoother. Maybe I should temp vaginally first and see if it smooths things out, and then talk to hubby about an Ava, I’ve heard such great things, but with the holiday expenses, and we just got a new car, I didn’t want to splurge. But maybe it’s worth a convo with DH. Thanks ladies.

mrswannabemomma :  temping vaginally is a lot more consistent. I would try that for a cycle or two and see if it’s any better.

Dr_dazzle :  Ok thanks, I’ll try that before trying a new thermometer or getting an Ava, especially since I don’t have trouble tracking my temps, it’s just jagged. Thanks!

Officially rolling over. Another textbook cycle with good timing, but I wasn’t expecting anything since we did this cycle unmedicated before start further treatments.

Back for round 2! This shorter cycle thing is kind of nice.

ROLL CALL

Your age/partner’s age: 29/31

Baby #: 1

Cycles Trying: #5 since second MC

Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD8

Usual Cycle Length: 26 days

Ovulation/Procedure (and what kind) Date: Dec 16

POAS/Beta Date: I always give in and test at 9DPO.. just realized that’s Dec 25.. no pressuresurprised

Known fertility issues: 2 MC

BFP Plan (BD Timing, supplements, charting, prenatals, etc.): Going back to just OPKs. Level of caring about supplements/timing/charting is low lol. Still somehow in relaxed mode.. I know I can get pregnant so just have to wait until my body decides it’s ready again.. I no longer think any of the extras will make much of a difference.

Trying anything new this month?: I have a follow up SHG tomorrow, and meeting with my RE on friday to go over results of that and CD3 bloodwork. Not expecting much to come up but who knows. I feel pretty good this month though, I had an easy, painless period, and this is the first month since my D&C I haven’t had spotting for 5 days after AF. I quit my prenatal, coq10 and aspirin because I’m tired of pills and just take folate and iron every night. Also got laid off a couple weeks ago and am basking in how relaxed and well-rested I am… so that’s new!

Link to your chart if charting:

For fun: What is your holiday wish for this year (besides a little one, of course!)? That I somehow maintain this level of chill throughout the whole holiday season. That my 6 foster kittens and their mama find forever, loving homes.

Baby #: 1

Cycles Trying: nearly 2 years

Current Cycle Day/DPO: cd15

Usual Cycle Length: 25 days

POAS/Beta Date: 21 December

Known fertility issues: none yet, due to have lap for suspected endo

BFP Plan (BD Timing, supplements, charting, prenatals, etc.): I’ve started taking some new Chinese herbal pills but given up everything else (opks, charting) as life is too stressful just now

Trying anything new this month?: the herbal pills

For fun: What is your holiday wish for this year (besides a little one, of course!)?

This isn’t very fun but that everyone will be well! I was unwell with virus 2 weeks ago, my mum is quite unwell although it’s not life threatening she may need to go for surgery and my husband has just fallen ill today.
