Thanks for starting the new board!

ROLL CALL

Your age/partner’s age: 36/39 (although he’s turning 40! on Tuesday)

Baby #: 1!

Cycles TTC: Since mid-2018

Known fertility issues: Severe male factor so we are using a sperm donor and I had fibroid surgery in 2016

Previous fertility treatment?: 3  failed IUI’s, one round of IVF that resulted in two PGS normal embryos, first transfer ended in a miscarriage at 7 weeks

What are you doing this month (transfer, beta, IUI, retrival)?: Second transfer with our last embryo! I also have a saline hysteroscopy on Friday with my baseline ultrasound.

Key dates (POAS, beta, transfer): Transfer is on December 14 and my first beta is on December 28. I’m determined not to ruin my Christmas so I may POAS on December 26 but I may just wait until my beta.

Just for fun: What is your favorite / least favorite holiday food? I’m not a fan of turkey or ham so I usually do other things for holidays. Thanksgiving this year is orange duck and Christmas will be bbq ribs. I do love stuffing. Growing up, my mom always made peppermint ice cream and chocolate mousse for Christmas dessert on top of the usual Christmas cookies. I’m eating really healthy right now for the transfer so I probably won’t do any desserts this year.

ROLL CALL

Your age/partner’s age: 31/35

Baby #: 1

Cycles TTC: since September 2018

Known fertility issues: PCOS, hypothyroidism, RPL

Previous fertility treatment?: TI with letrozole, 3 IUIs, 1 round of IVF, 1 fresh transfer that resulted in a chemical pregnancy

What are you doing this month (transfer, beta, IUI, retrival)?: December should be my mock transfer cycle with an ERA and ReceptivaDX. I won’t have anythig major until January, as we are focusing on testing in the hopes my next transfer sticks around.

Key dates (POAS, beta, transfer): That all depends on when AF decides to show up. CD26 and no ovulation yet, so who knows!

Just for fun: What is your favorite / least favorite holiday food? I adore stuffing. When I was diagnosed with celiac disease in college, my mom spent WEEKS perfecting a gluten free stuffing. We always bake loads of Christmas cookies, but I’m cutting wayyyy back on sugar in the hopes it will help my PCOS. As far as least favorite, I think eggnog is absolutely disgusting.

Today I took my last birth control pill and my baseline ultrasound is tomorrow. I’m super worried that I’m going to have cysts or that my SHG is going to show something. I was only on BC for 15 days instead of nearly a month like last time and I have a history of fibroids so I worry that more have grown since doing fertility treatments and having the miscarriage. Hopefully we get the all-clear to proceed with the transfer tomorrow, but I’m trying not to think about it in the meantime.

Your age/partner’s age: 33/30

Baby #: 3 (his first) The two previous were from 11+ years ago… so this is a whole new ball game.

TTC: 2 IUIs

Known fertility issues: mfi (using donor sperm), and filling defects in uterus and right tube.

Previous fertility treatment?: 2 IUIs

What are you doing this month (transfer, beta, IUI, retrival)?:  3rd IUI

Key dates (POAS, beta, transfer): trigger tonight, IUI 11/21, POAS 12/3.

If this cycle doesn’t work, we are moving to a hysteroscopy and IVF in January… so this will be my last chance until March. :/

I had a great follicle scan today (2nd cycle on letrozole) and have two follicles ready to go, but just can’t quite muster up true hope this cycle).

Just for fun: What is your favorite / least favorite holiday food? I love mashed potatoes and rolls. I dislike cranberry relish/sauce.

@piscesinsc:  good luck! I hate the feeling of having no clue what’s going on and growing until you see the ultrasound. 🙁

I just got back from the clinc. They drew labs, got a urine sample, and I had my baseline ultrasound and SHG. My RE said my uterus looked good and my ovaries are quiet so I’m going to start the estrogen on Sunday unless something comes up with my labs. I’m super relieved that nothing is wrong and now can just relax a bit until my lining check.

@piscesinsc:  Yey! I’m happy everything looks good and there’s no cysts or anything surprising. Good luck with the estrogen. Hopefully those ovaries get loud!

ROLL CALL

Your age/partner’s age: 30/33

Baby #: 1

Cycles TTC: Since Aug 2019

Known fertility issues: Unexplained, but DH’s morphology is on the low side (4%); my FSH is a bit high (9.9, my clinic still classes it as normal since 10 is their cutoff…) and my AMH is apparently on the low side of normal for my age (1.6). My vitamin D levels are also suboptimal (29).

Previous fertility treatment?: No treatment yet. We just got through testing and are still deciding what to do next.

What are you doing this month (transfer, beta, IUI, retrival)?: I think we will try naturally for another few cycles. I’m upping my Coq10 and vitamin D supplements, and I just bought an Ava bracelet just in case tracking my BBT again helps things. Since our tests don’t show anything that means we can’t get pregnant naturally I still have a sliver of hope it could happen naturally, but the uncertainty of it is really getting to me. Need to look into what insurance will cover if/when we move to interventions.

Key dates (POAS, beta, transfer): AF due ~ 12/16, I don’t think I’ll test before then.

Just for fun: What is your favorite / least favorite holiday food?: Love (veggie versions) of all the classic Thanksgiving foods – mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans, pumpkin pie. Not a fan of candied yams.

I’m not going to roll call yet for December yet since my POAS date is next week, but I’ll hang out and update here if everyone else is done with November!  My RE said to POAS next Thursday (15 dpiui), but I think I’ll do it a day before since I don’t want to deal with a bfn on thanksgiving.
