@linz09:  Yay!!!  That’s awesome!!!  December is off to a great start.

Bees, I’m a little worried that DH and I just don’t have sex enough for me to get KU.  My sister told me that she tried doing EOD for a couple months and then gave that up and had sex every day for a week, and that’s when she got KU.  Then this weekend (I know I already mentioned this earlier either here or on the Charters thread), my friend who has been KU 3 times, first try every time (1 while not trying) told me, “Just make sure you’re having a bunch of sex during your fertile days!”  Well, I couldn’t bring myself to tell her that that just doesn’t work for us.  We do it 1-2 times a week.  For the 3 cycles we’ve been trying, each month we’ve hit one time within the fertile window, despite me trying for more.  This last time, we did O-1 and I tried for O, and he turned me down.  Then, 2 days later, he mentions getting it on so I can get KU – I wanted to be like, “How long do you think my window is??” but I didn’t say that.  I just told him it was over (of course we still BD’d for fun, but not for pg purposes).  Yesterday he asked me if I think that the BCP is just taking longer to get out of my system so I’m not getting pg.  I explained to him that no, I’ve been off it for 7 months and I ovulate like clockwork every month according to my charts.  I didn’t have the heart to say that I think we need him to perform more in order to make it happen.  But that’s how I feel right now.  *End vent*

BFN this morning. I think I’m not going to test again unless AF is late which would be Friday. I’ve pretty much convinced myself I am out this month and I’m ok with it. I’ve thought of some positives, I can enjoy the holidays without the stress of trying to hide the fact that I’m KU (women in my family have history of MC so I’d want to be in my second trimester before announcing), I can take something for this damn cold I have, and DH and I can enjoy BD some more ;-).

Question for you bees, do any of you have a SO that travels? DH does and I’m wondering how that’s going to affect TTC. There is a chance he may be gone during our next fertile period, if so I probably will be out until January, which is annoying.

@linz09:  Congrats!!!  Thanks for the pic πŸ™‚

For everyone still waiting to O, perhaps this article is a good sign for us http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/love/Most+Fertile+Day-268834.html

Apparently a study found that the most popular birthday is September 16.  Counting backwards, they estimate the most common conception day to be December 11.  Let’s hope it holds true and we get a bunch more BFPs this month!  GL everyone!

@hardtoconcentrate:  Do you think you could bring it up to him in a nice way? Or maybe show him that video that was floating around, The Great Sperm Race, I think it’s called? DH and I watched that togetherand were amazed at how complex and difficult it is to conceive.

I’m feeling like AF is well on her way.  I have normal breast tenderness and slight cramping.

Did any of you previous pregnant (or currently, yay!) bees experience breast tenderness regularly before AF and then as well when you tested positive?

I told my DH this morning that I felt like I was about to get my period.  He didn’t seem disappointed at all, which scares me a bit πŸ™

@hardtoconcentrate:  I’m so sorry. Guys just don’t understand the importance of timing! When fi and I were TTA, he said it seemed like the fertile period was too long. Now he says it’s too short. Whatever!

@KateByDesign:  oh honey. He’s probably not concerned because he knows he gets to BD with his beautiful wife more and more  next time!

@MrsDibs: Sorry about the BFN – it’s still very early, though!  In my case, the problem isn’t so much that he doesn’t understand (he doesn’t understand but that’s not the main issue), it’s more that he just can’t do it that much.  I feel like if I pressure him more, then that’ll make it even worse.  This last fertile time was pretty miserable – every single time we tried he had issues finishing and we had to give up a couple times.  This hasn’t ever been an issue until he started feeling the pressure of TTC, so now I’m doing everything in my power not to pressure him.

@KateByDesign:  Sorry you’re feeling like AF is coming.  PMS and pg have the same symptoms, though, so there’s still a chance.

@MrsEagleEye:  That’s pretty funny/interesting.  I’ll be O-ing that week, so I’m hoping it’s true for us. πŸ˜‰

When you start to get EWCM does that mean that we need to BD immediately? It’s not a ton of it but it’s definitely turning. my o date is projected Friday…

@MrsMaskatoBe:  I’d say yes.  When you start seeing EWCM, you’re starting your fertile days.

@hardtoconcentrate:  Ah, I see now! Yeah, that is a lot of pressure for anyone to deal with, but hopefully that’s all it is. My own DH had issues like that off and on for several years and it turned out his thyroid was a little slow. But it sounds like your DH just has a little performance anxiety and I bet the more it happens the more pressure he feels which leads to it happening more, it’s a vicious cycle that way. Hopefully a few “successes” in a row and you’ll be on track again.

@MrsEagleEye: That article is wonderful, I’m going to be in my fertile period close to that as well! But DH is likely going to be away on buisness (boo).

@hardtoconcentrate:  Aww I’m sorry honey :(( I know you’ve been having some issues with him performing and stuff but maybe now that there’s no pressure that the moment you can sit down with him and explain the process to him. Let him know what you’re thinking will be good scheduling for BDing (your sis and friends advice) and just put all your cards on the table. I know you sort of want to keep him in the dark because of his performance issue, but maybe what he needs is to be educated on how TTC really works and the mechanics of it. Open communication is always better in these situations, In My Humble Opinion. BIG HUGS!

@hardtoconcentrate:  So sorry hun!! It’s a difficult position to be in, you want to tell him but at the same time you already know that stressing about it isn’t helping either. This cycle we only hit O-2 and O+1. It is possible to get pregnant with just one BD session in the window, you aren’t out yet! πŸ™‚
