@Evie19:  I’m not sure how they really define it. Other bees probably know, but my understanding is that if it falls around when AF normally would, then its considered chemical. I assume that’s why doctors say to wait until AF is actually late.

Hey Bees! I’m back from a very relaxing and incredible Mexico holiday – and BOY have you guys been busy! I don’t have time to read all 9 pages in this post so I will just say CONGRATS to all those who got their December BFP’s and FX to those still waiting.

We did pretty well with BD’ing on our vacation, the first 4 days were very, um, productive! However we got a bit sick for a few days in the middle of the week, which would be right around O time – so I am hoping for a situation of the boys sticking around for a few days to meet the egg.

Counting down the days this week, then I will bust out the ole Wondfos!

@hmmtmar:  Thanks for the support ladies!

This month was extra hard for me and the heart-to-heart with DH was definately needed. He’s just so easy going that I don’t think he realized how much it’s weighing on me.  But it all worked out and we have both committed to being more supportive and pro-active.  He even asked me if he should buy new boxers thinking his boxer briefs may too restrictive, lol!  What a sweetie, I can’t wait to jump his bones over Christmas.  Haha!

@whitums:  From the research I’ve done, a chemical pregnancy is basically just a very early miscarriage that happens after you can get a positive test but before it could be confirmed on an ultrasound (about 5 weeks).

@emelee:  Yeah I googled it after I posted, and that’s what I read too…basically if it’s within a week of AF, they consider it chemical and not clinical.

I’m still in the camp of I’d rather save myself the heartache and not know, but it’s tough to wait that long. I’m at 5DPO and while I at least have it in my head that anything funky going on is progesterone and not a pregnancy symptom, it’s so hard not to get your hopes up at every weird twinge or “symptom”!

@emelee:    I had a chemical pregnancy at about 5 weeks and 4 days. My Ob-gyn said that chemical pregnancies are any miscarriages before 6 weeks, other doctors may have different definitions than hers. That’s the reason she always recommends to POAS only when AF has been late 1 week. So I followed my doctor’s advice on when to test, but I still found out about my CP. Sometimes you can’t avoid to know even if you’re extra cautious, so this cycle I’ll test at 14 DPO or early 🙂

I can’t believe what I got today!!  We have been ttc since July 2011, with one 8 week miscarriage. :(. We even tried 3 rounds of clomid a year ago.  I’m soooo thrilled, and thanking God!!
