@hardtoconcentrate:  Apparently, because I’m going from contract to full-time. But I have this feeling they don’t want me. Which is odd because I’ve had 20+ employees tell me “they’d be crazy not to keep you”.

Has anyone ever gotten a POSITIVE OPK and then DAYS LATER HAD A TEMP DIP LIKE THEY WERE ACTUALLY O’ing that day? I got my positive opk on CD 18 and now its CD21 and my temp has went from 98.06 to 97.48? So weird… and ANNOYING..

@hardtoconcentrate:  I’m still waiting, my manager mentioned interviewing at the end of the week. She has 2 candidates coming in today, which I think it pretty tacky since I have to greet them and show them in.

All this on top of the cramps, I can’t wait for this day to be over!

@MrsGrayIndy:  Yes, that’s not that abnormal.  The positive OPK tells you you’re going to O but doesn’t tell you exactly when.  Some people get them days before they O, some only on the exact day they O.  That’s why it’s suggested that you start BD-ing when you see the positive OPK and keep going until your temp spike confirms O.

@Lyndzo:  That is complete bullsh!t!  So if one of them were to get the job, would you be out of a job or moved to another position or something?  I seriously cannot believe that’s the process.  You should go out of your way to be a royal b!tch or something and make them not want the job.  😉

Hi ladies. Wow what a crazy week. Last night after DD went to bed I told DH about what happened to Mr. Mac and how supportive the board has been to Mac.

My husband held my hand and said “Well that really puts things in perspective.”

You see I was really upset about AF coming two days early meaning no pregnancy this month and DH was laid off. We have until Christmas to find a new job and move. See the island we live on is mainly owned by the company my DH worked for. There are no labour laws here so we just have to leave.  The thing is if they let him go as of next week then they have to pay him his bonus.

Well baby dust to everyone this month.

@MrsHovzilla:  Wow, a fellow Lutheran!  I certainly don’t come across those very often.  Exciting!  Have you seen Catch Me If You Can?  I love the part where he gets caught and is admitting to the girl’s family that he lied, stole, committed fraud, etc. and the parents’ response is “So you’re not really Lutheran?”  Reminded me of my grandparents and I cracked up.  Thanks for putting the pinterest board together, that was a good idea.

10DPO – I am not even bothering to POAS.  Still having very mild cramping and bloat. This has been for the past 4 days.  AF is due next tuesday and usually I get slight cramping for a day or two and my back usually hurts which is how I know its coming.  My back doesn’t hurt, but my hips are killing me.   I go to the OB/GYN tonight for my annual, so who knows.  My body just feels “off”

@Lyndzo:  That’s such crap. I hope they give you an interview and you know something soon.

I feel like I’m just twiddling my thumbs waiting for AF, never thought I’d just want my period to start.

@Lyndzo:  Aww, dear, I’m so sorry.

Well, since this is the POAS thread, I guess I should share my epic fail! Totally POAS this morning – BFN – what a suprise!! Not. It was with 2nd morning urine at 9dpo but I thought I felt what could’ve been implantation yesterday morning so I figured I’d be safe. Well, I probably won’t POAS again until Saturday if my temps are up, if not, I’m done.

Lots of baby dust, FX, and good wishes for all you ladies. I’ll check back here if I have good news…

@hardtoconcentrate:  If one of them gets the job, I’m done on Dec 28th and out of a job.

@MrsDibs:  It really is, I am praying for an interview this week so I can at least get an idea of what’s going to happen. If I’m out of a job, then TTC will probably be put on hold. The thought of that just makes me want to crawl into a ball and cry 🙁

@Lyndzo:  Have you been searching outside your company, just in case? I know how much a job can affect TTC. I’ve been PT at my job for two years and we kept waiting for me to get full time before deciding to try. Well it kept not happening and I kept feeling like a failure, because our life plans were based on that. Then when my DH health scare happened we put a positive spin on my part time and realized we’d save an absolute sh*t ton in day care costs. All this is my long winded way of saying don’t lose hope, if you don’t keep this job I’m sure you will figure it out and make TTC work, because that’s what you want.

@mrswant2B:  Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry about the layoff.  That’s a really crappy situation.  So do you definitely have to move now in addition to being laid off?

@aalliep:  Do you chart?  If so, can you share your link?  I want to check out someone’s chart who I clearly think is still completely in this month. 😉

@MrsGrayIndy:  Can you BD today?  It sounds like you might be ovulating today, so it would be good to do it today if you weren’t able to at all the last couple days.  Do you have a chart you can link?

    @MrsDibs:  When is AF due?

@Yellow.Clover:  Sorry about the BFN….but you know it’s still SUPER early.  Even if you did feel implantation yesterday, the levels start at 5HCG when they start getting into the blood stream after implantation (not necessarily instantaneously) and then they take 2-3 days to double…so 2 days after implanting, you *might* be at 10HCG, which isn’t going to be picked up on most HPTs.  So, if you felt implantation yesterday, I don’t think it’d show up today anyway.  Still majorly crossing everything for you!

@Lyndzo:  WHAT?!  I’m so angry for you.  I can’t believe places operate like that.  So, not only do you have to interview to keep your job since you’re moving to a different status, but you have to meet and greet the people coming in to your company to interview for YOUR job, and then if one of them gets it, you only get 3 weeks notice that you’re out of a job?!!?!?!  Arrrgh, I’m frustrated just reading that. Sorry, hun.  That really sucks.  I’m surprised they operate like that just from a morale perspective – that does a number to you mentally.
