    @E_Lynne615:  if this is my cycle I’m going to do my best to hide it! I’ve been cutting back on drinking anyway so it should be ok. My sister is pregnant and having some complications so I don’t want to add that to her plate.

    @E_Lynne615:  My strategies will be:

    1) Showing up later to events that way most people will be on their way to drunk town and won’t notice what I am (or not) drinking. My friend who is also TTC is trying out this technique by skipping a wine tasting and just meeting everyone for dinner after. She’s saying she’s going to yoga and will just wait for her husband to text her when the tasting is over!

    2)Fake Ear infection: no one looks sick when they have an ear infection and doesn’t stop you from going out places, but it’s easy to say you’re on antibiotics. I would only use this with people I’m not likely to see often. Bactrim is an antibiotic that you shouldn’t combine with alcohol.

    3) Drinking seltzer and lime. Gin and tonic is one of my favorites, so I wouldn’t look suspicious with this drink in my hand.

    4) During Thanksgiving (my TWW), my parents will be visiting and we are surely to have an amazing meal and serve good wine. I may limit myself to a single glass or just keep my glass half full at all times and hope that know one notices I’m not having my usual amount.

    5) Designated driver status!

    This is one thing I’m vowing not to do this month. I just don’t realise I’m doing it. I could write a list of all sorts of crazy things I’ve googled.

    @E_Lynne615:  If this is my lucky cycle, my plan is to just have a beer in my hand all night but not actually drink from it. DH drinks beer as well and we will casually trade beers so mine looks like I have been drinking it even though I haven’t ( ie leaving both on the counter and picking up the emptier one, holding both when he goes to the bathroom etc )

    ROLL CALL

    Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD2

    Ovulation Date/fertile window: FF is saying December 4th

    POAS Date/Usual Cycle Length: December 18th will be when AF is due, so no peeing until then *unless my temp doesn’t go down

    Cycles Trying: this is number 3

    BFP Plan (BD timing, supplements, etc.): prenatals, BD ED during FW, eating more greens (blech) and generally trying not to get my hopes up too much

    Link to Chart, if any

    and for fun –

    What would you REALLY, REALLY love for a holiday gift (other than the obvious BFP of course…) ?

    I don’t even know what I want for Christmas…I have a house, healthy animals, a stand mixer (i’ve been wanting one for years) and pretty much anything else is superfluous. Well, actually if I’m being ridiculous I would like a new car. Mine died and I’m driving DH’s car right now. But that isn’t happening under my Christmas tree. I guess all do I want is that BFP.

    @CocoLoco523:

    Current Cycle Day/DPO:  CD3 ๐Ÿ™ I took three days to mope and stay away from the board after AF, now I’m back for more.

    Ovulation Date/fertile window: I have no idea.  Last month was the first month of bcp and I ovulated on day 27.  I’m hoping I’ll shift a bit earlier this month.

    POAS Date/Usual Cycle Length: Last month was 39 days.  Again, hoping that will shorten to a more reasonable and regular length.  Although I would take a bfp as well.

    Cycles Trying: This is the second

    BFP Plan (BD timing, supplements, etc.): OPK, wondfo and clearblue smileys when the wondfos get close.

    Link to Chart, if any: No charting yet.

    and for fun –

    What would you REALLY, REALLY love for a holiday gift (other than the obvious BFP of course…) ? I’d just like gift cards for some new clothes.  I’m pretty practical.

    My favorite holiday movie is A Christmas Story

    @E_Lynne615:  My plan at christmas if I’m still in the TWW or maybe *fingers crossed* have a bfp is to enthusiastically accept the first glass of wine, maybe have a sip and then carry it around with, taking any opportunity to take it to the bathroom to dump out or give it to DH to take a sip.  Usually the wine starts flowing during predinner mingling so I think I can accomplish this.  Then maybe have a little left in the glass at dinner so I don’t have to accept another one, then more of the walking around with the glass and dumping it when possible trick after dinner when people get up again.  I don’t think after people have had a few glases themselves that they will really notice.

    That’s the plan for my inlaws anyway, who are big wine enthusiasts and would notice if I didn’t have a glass.

    My parents don’t drink at dinner generally but they know I usually make a joke out of pouring myself a big eggnog and rum on xmas eve as they fight over how to put the fake christmas tree together.  That I can easily fake by having just eggnog.

    @E_Lynne615:

    I’m not a big drinker, I almost never drink (I had three drinks all night at my bachelorette and I think that’s the most I’ve EVER had, I didn’t even have a drink at my wedding, lol)  so it won’t be a stretch when I tell people I just don’t want any.    They’ll bug me until I take a glass, and then leave it somewhere full, lol, as usual.

    My problem is nausea, it was AWFUL last time, from very early on, so if I’m fighting the pukies, they will know I’m knocked up.

    OPK question:  I’ve been asking around and researching and I’m getting a ton of different ideas.  I first tested yesterday and got nothing.  I decided to test in the AM and in the PM..tested this morning and saw a faint but strong line.  Tested this evening after a 3 hour hold and no liquids and saw almost nothing.

    What gives!?!?!?

    ETA:  Here’s my chart for reference
