Any questions you have, PM me. Diamond buying is all about compromise. For myself, cut is key, color is important but not critical and clarity is strictly a mind-clean need. (I have stones from SI1 to VVS1 and you would be hard pressed to tell which is which. This is because I don’t get stones with cloud inclusions) When it comes to round brilliant diamonds, I prefer AGS stones because they have been evaluated for light performance. GIA doesn’t do this, so their cut grading can be very hit or miss. The best stones tend to go to AGS so they can get the 000 grade.
This is all so exciting, I had no idea how many ways and places there are to get diamonds/rings from. I’m so glad I’m researching this far in advance.
