I was about to agree with mini…until I looked at the classic alone and I agree that the setting gets lost on the smaller it seems.

Perhaps that’s not the case with the smaller in person seeing it. However, from pictures, I’d choose the classic.

Bigger is always better in my opinion.

This may have been answered before but how larger are your hands?

As someone who was given the choice between a larger and smaller stone, I knew i’d never want a smaller stone but may regret not having a larger stone. SO happy with that decison.

I think because the halo is so intricate, the mini looks better. It’s a beautiful ring!!

emko1016:  Omg I LOVE that one, get it get it!!! Best of both. And actually that setting looks sturdier somehow, even though it’s nearly identical and retains the elegant floral elements. Love the profile, too, that’s a beautiful undercarriage. Also I think that seller has a really good reputation. If it were me, I would ask them to set the gemstone as low as possible — it looks like it’s set pretty high off the halo in the photos. I’d also enquire about getting an F1 instead of the FB.

But I still think you can’t go wrong with the 2ct, either. 😉

emko1016:  I’d lean towards the 2 or the new one you posted with the 1.5!

emko1016:  both are beautiful, and big stones are great, but I think in that particular setting the one carat looks better. The halo or design around it makes the stone/ring look bigger in my opinion!

Out of the two original options I would definitely go for the “mini” (though in my world that would rather be named “huge”). With your ring size around or under 7 that will still be plenty lot of ring precense on your hand!

Having said that, there’s nothing wrong with the even bigger size either, especially if “a bit over the top blingy” look is what you’re going after. But I think the size of that “classic” is definitely something that would get noticed a lot – in good and bad.

emko1016:  in that case you should definitely get the in between size 🙂

What a tough choice! I intially though the mini looked better, but I like how the halo pops on the classic.  Wha sort of wedding ring will you be having? That might influence your decision.

I don’t think a 2ct ring is a cocktail ring.  Something about 4 carats and above starts to move into that territory.

I’d be trying both on with different wedding bands and see which combo looks best. Sometimes an e-ring looks completely different once you’ve got a wedding band next to it.

The mini is big enough very pretty. The classic is ginormous and disproportionate.

I’m biased because I have a 2 carat center with a halo and my ring size is 4 1/2. Ive just always liked larger jewelry/rings/bracelets even with my small hands.

I think the ring is beautiful in either size and 1 ct is definitely not “mini” as they’re advertising it. Either one will be beautiful but don’t let thinking a 2 carat will look too big deter you if you think it makes the halo stand out more. my ring really doesn’t get in the way of anything and in my opinion doesn’t look so big that it looks cocktaily
