I like the bezel quite a bit more than the prongs, and especially if they’re snagging etc., it might be better to get rid of them.

I like it with a bezel, and I think it is fine to leave it as a plain bezel. If you like mixed metals, you can even do the bezel in platinum or a white gold (I recommend Stuller X1 or a palladium-white gold alloy so you do not need to plate it) as it will blend in with the stone more.

majorairhead :  I like both, but bezel to make your life easier. You don’t want to ruin every sweater you own. So, I vote bezel!
