What is the slip for? To help slim you down or to make the dress poofy?

@his ask for a crinoline to see how it poofs. They definitely have them for you to try on, so you could buy it if you decided you liked it. They keep them in the back of the store, they’ll sell to you same day if you want most times!

Good luck!!!

2 things-

1.  I’ve moved this post to the Dress board!

2.  They have slips for you to try on there.  Try it with and without.  That’s what I did and I decided to go without.  My dress was A line.

I’d try it with and without the slip under it. My dress at first I didn’t want a slip with, but after going back and trying on my dress I decided it made the dress looker nicer with the little more fullness of the slip. I believe she had me try the 550 at David’s and it was a little less poofy than the original slip I had tried.

@his I don’t see why it wouldnt! It would just make it poof a little bit more. I tried it on with tons of A-lines!

My dress is an A-line too, and although I haven’t tried it on with a crinoline yet, I’m pretty sure I will wear one with it to poof it out a little more.

When I went to DBs, it was my first time dress shopping and they immediately had me wear the slip.  Then when I choose my gown, I tried it without the slip and liked it much more without it.  It was an A-line and already had the built in crinoline so it didn’t need more poof.  Just try the slip anyway just to be sure!
