I have a diamond not moissanite, but I love my OEC. I think it’s so much more unique than a RB and while is is an excellent cut, it still still seems to shine brighter than a similarly cut RB. 🙂

I have an unenhanced, 1ct, RB moissanite and I honestly think it depends on the setting and how white you want the stone to look. An enhanced RB will be whiter than an enhanced OEC simply because of how the stones are cut.

BootsLace92:  I would get the FB Hearts & Arrows cut. They are so gorgeous and don’t have the splintery facets of the standard round brilliant cut moissanite. They are only available in 1 and 2 ct sizes though. I’d get the 2 ct. It’s only a 1/2 mm difference in size compared to the 1.5 ct. The 2 ct is $899 and the 1 ct is $449. They’re gorgeous! They’ll be coming out with more sizes in the future.

I was curious myself because I’ve never seen an OEC. I found this video, I’m not sure if it’ll help you at all though. They are both gorgeous!

BootsLace92:  TheLadyA :  Just wanted to say that’s an awesome video which I had seen before I bought mine. I wanted to let you know, though, that you can have a smaller or a larger culet. I opted for a smaller one (you can’t even see it), but kinda wish I had gotten a larger one because I think that’s part of the OEC’s charm!

I have a forever brilliant RB, so I’m partial to it.  I personally love the splintery glitter, but my stone is on the “smaller” side (6mm/0.75ct).

BootsLace92:  I got a FB OEC moissy and I have honestly never seen anything so gorgeous in my entire life. I was also concerned about the sparkle, but in the end, the chunky OEC flashes won me over.

BootsLace92:  What does the setting look like?

IMO OEC/RBs look better in different settings. Buuuut I looooove my FB OEC 🙂

BootsLace92:  The OEC will be cut to sparkle in larger flashes, and the RB will be cut to sparkle in smaller flashes. I think it completely depends on which type of sparkle appeals most to you. If you’re saying you like the RB because of the sparkle factor, I would be inclined to think you should go with the RB.

For me, the OEC is more appealing because I love the big flashes of the cut. It’s all about personal preference.

BootsLace92:  I had an FB RB moissanite which I swapped for an FB OEC moissanite. If you check out my profile I’ve posted plenty of direct comparison pics, reviews and a video. My OEC wins hands down for brightness and beauty! I asked for the whitest stone possible with a small culet.
