If my full red flow starts this weekend, I am supposed to call and make an appointment for CD3 to do CD3 labs and get my Clomid.
The cost of the labs is more than a month’s worth of rent (and doesn’t include the clinic visit cost) and my insurance doesn’t give two craps about infertility.
BUT, I have a urology appointment on June 12 and the two most likely possible conclusions they come up with (because of personal and immediate family history) are either kidney stones or kidney cancer.
Should I call my OBGYN and tell her we would like to wait until we know what the urologist says? I would hate to spend so much money, be successful and pregnant, and then find out I have cancer and possibly harm a baby that I have inside me, and have to deal with fertility bills on top of whatever medical bills that would bring up.
Or should I go ahead and hope for the best?

@rosworms: I would say wait until you get the lab results from your urologist. I agree with your reasoning, no need to waste money and then find out and possibly harm the baby. Good luck and baby dust ******

As hard as it is, I think waiting another month might be the best way to spare yourself a significant amount of pain and money if it is the worst case senario. Waiting for the results will put you back a cycle but you can rest at ease that you’re 100% healthy once you do go for treatment.

Wait for the lab results. If you do have cancer being pregnant could accelarate the growth of the cancer and would definitely interfere with your treatment.

Ugh. I know how much having to wait sucks, but in this case, I’d wait too. *hugs* I’ll be praying for you that you don’t have to deal with either cancer or kidney stones! *hugs*
