Hi bees! My boss has given me the task of decorating for our coworkers in office bridal shower. It will take place in our break room. A long, rectangular ugly beige room, long table in the middle and kitchen equipment at one end. Very drab. This will be next week, so she’s asked me to keep it in pinks, whites and red as valentine decorations are cheap and available right now. I love planning a good party normally, but the problem? My decoration budget is $15! Fifteen!! I’m super crafty and frugal, and am not above the dollar store, but I don’t think this is something even I can swing. I really want to make it beautiful and something special, so she knows the effort was put into it. Any suggestions?!

Looks like alot of paper decorating in your future!

I would use colored papers and cut out hearts, hole punch and string them. If the party is AFTER valentines day you can get a ton of clearance decorations.

What about ribbon or streamer runners – since they are on the table they aren’t a pain to hang (and if it’s ribbon you could even use what you have, or re-use what you buy for the party!). Something like this:

Garlands- can be made out of used paper
or paper doilies
or construction paper
use same paper doilies to make a backdrop behind her chair
pomander centerpiece made of coffee filters
hang mobile with their initials over the gift table
or use paper hearts
wish tree for the bride made with paper hearts
