In New Orleans, it is very common to have a buffet style reception where there aren’t seats for each person and people tend to mingle, however, the tables have a tendency to look a little empty without a formal place setting. Does anyone have any ideas to make the table look less empty?
It seems totally silly to put place settings out since there will only be chairs for about 60% of the people. In addition to the floral arrangements, I was thinking about getting candles and maybe making an overlay for the table like this: . Any other ideas to make the tablescape more full? Was thinking about maybe putting the favors on the table, but what could I scatter around the tablescape besides flower petals?
