It’s up to you if you want to do it in a subtle way or not.

I’d say accents of red would look amazing:

And then there is the all out RED wedding but overall red is a fairly hard colour to pair with, other than white. So choosing red for a colour scheme is a big choice, you have to be sure you really like it.

I love the soft pink.  Very pretty!!

About a year before I actually got engaged I planned my “Future wedding”.  Everything changed completely after we actually got engaged.  I originally wanted to get married in Feb. and have a Valentines wedding.  And my centerpieces were going to be tall vases with the little valentines hearts as filler with tall bright pink flowers.  I feel like I seen it on tv or in a picture somewhere, but I can’t find it now.  Just a crazy, out of the box idea.

Kinda but taller vases and with the pastel colored candies, the ones that said “Be Mine” and “Kiss me”. Lol.

Hey date twin! This is what I’m going for. Not over the top V-Day themed, but I like the colors and they go with the venue as well as the date.

We’ll be the day after you, on the 15th. We’re really ignoring the whole Valentine’s Day thing and just doing what we planned on doing long before the date was set – black and red with hints of silver. So I suppose in a way, the red will be a bit of a nod to the holiday so close.

Mine is on the 15th, and I’m having mostly navy and lime green, with hints of ivory and blush – so I guess that’s my nod to Valentine’s! I’m probably going to do some V-Day thing with our rehersal, but I haven’t decided yet!

@Pinkmoon:

hi date twins. Love the ideas on this page. We just confirmed our venue. Funny thing was, Fiance actually suggested this date. He said 14/02/2014 has a good ring to it, without realising it was Valentine’s day. The theme I’m thinking about is charcoal grey with a pop colour of red…
