I’m trying to figure out how to decorate our wedding reception venue, an art gallery with 2 large rooms connected with a doorway. The room that guests enter is where we’ll have our fave pizza company cooking pizzas in a small oven, that guests will get to enjoy as they come out. This room will have some high tops, low tops, but no formal seating arrangements. The bar will be here too. How should we decorate our tables? Should I add an art theme? Our ceremony is at the Botanic Gardens, so the two venues aren’t necessarily the same style.
The second room is our dance floor, and there’s a staircase to the loft area. I have no idea what to do with the loft area, as it already has a bench or two, and is a good spot to watch everyone dance below, but there’s still more space! I was thinking about adding some sort of activity here, but one that older folks wouldn’t feel like they were missing out on, since it’s up the stairs. Maybe Twister? A simple game? I have a photographer and videographer (each with second shooters), so a photo booth seems unneccessary. Should it just be the open lounge?
