- Wedding: April 2014
So, the ceremony space that we are likely going with is a pretty plain, boring room. I liked the fact that it was a blank slate, but it also makes it kind of overwhelming to plan the details. I don’t want it to feel like we’re just getting married in some room, I want it to feel like an intimate, romantic ceremony space. There are a few windows on the wall that we would be married in front of, and also a trophy case in each corner that I’d like to cover or block somehow. The windows are just standard with mini blinds. We’ll have to create some kind of altar. I was thinking that it would be nice to dim the lights and have a lot of candles (not on the floor), but I’m just not sure where to put them (literally an empty room aside from the chairs), and not sure what kind of altar would go well. I’ve also seen the “fairy light backdrops” but can’t seem to find a place online to get them in the US.
Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated!
P.S This will be a spring evening wedding.
