Blushing bee
Hi Bees! I’m currently working on little loves room, and would like suggestions for what others have done on the wall over the crib. I was originally thinking of hanging a shelf, but then it clicked that might not be the safest thing. Then I read people saying not to hang pictures either! We already have a wall decal on one of the walls so I don’t want another one… Any ideas or opinions with hanging things?

I wouldn’t worry about art being a hazard above a crib. As long as it’s mounted properly and high enough there shouldn’t really be a risk of it falling on your little one. Maybe do something small/light if you’re worried about it.
I’ve seen lots of pics with the baby’s name stenciled above the crib that are really cute.

Perhaps hang a quilt or tapestry above it?

I love the name idea. you can get different shapes, sizes, and colors of wood letters! Even use crown molding to make a frame around it all!

We had newborn photography done and had three pictures set in colored frames. Purple, green and pink.

well I live in california, aka earthquake country, so I wouldn’t hang anything over the crib. A wall decal or mural sounds like a great idea.
