I’m having my reception in a restored firehouse, that’s now someone’s apartment! So far my decorations consists of votives everywhere and roses in small vases all over the place. Do I need anything else/ Christmas lights?
Below are various photos of the space.

No advice on the decor but as a girl who is marrying a firefighter….reception in a firehouse is AWESOME!

I don’t think you need christmas lights, but I would vary the size and shape of your vases and candles. If you can afford some tall vases, they might look nice in front of the fireplace or in a row below the staircase.

Nice place! 🙂 Maybe you can spray paint some votives as mercury glass, it will help to reflect the candle light, it looks awesome plus it is easier to make. 🙂

I would put small things around so it looks like you accented the place..I’m afriad with lights it might make it look like your trying to make it into a banquet hall and take away from the charm of the place…I think it would be nice to have votives, picture frames and maybe small floral arrangments scattered around

This looks like an awesome and unusual space. I would definately have fun with table decorations but I don’t think you need much beyond that. The roses and votives soudns perfect. Good luck!
