I need some good ideas for packable decoration for my wedding. Im going to Jamaica and my wedding planner has warned me that it will cost me an arm and a leg to send things into the country. She advised me to only pack them in my suitcase… and that narrows down alot of things. Our ceremony is not at the resort so I pretty much have a fresh slate, with the ocean as my backdrop. I thought about paper lanterns and the tissue paper puff ball thingys. But does anyone have any other ideas?… packable ideas?????

Ugh- I wish our wedding planner had given us that same advice!! When Fiance and I went to ship all the things we bought for decorations it was going to be almost $1500…and we didn’t buy that much!
Obviously given my situation I can’t be much help but if I had to choose over, I would suggest buying as much stuff on the island as possible. For favors, give something edible that is special to Jamaica. Or do the same for centerpieces.
Paper Lanterns are a good idea, maybe tablecloths in your colors (packable and although subtle will be more festive than plain white), paper fans (I got these super cheap from Oriental Trading and they are totally mobile and great for guests to cool themselves off with at the wedding).
Good Luck 🙂

you could also make cute little flags out of paper or fabric and string them in a garland to hang around!
i agree with soontobewalsh too – buy as much as you can there! It helps a lot!
