Hmmm… sometimes not to be Too Much Information as well but the worse lower ab pain while running is like a bowel/digestive issue for me! all that running gets things moving, and depending on when your last bathroom visit was or what you recently ate, that could be it.

I also have had the old stitch in the side, but Ive just been upping my potassium and electrolytes.

Hopefully some other ladies have more advice and experiences!

@ScarletBegonia: I envy you for the empty stomach morning runs! I needed to run in the mornings a few months back due to a scheduling conflict and I  typically don’t eat first thing in the morning- So I thought I could just get up and run , So I went out around 7am, I stopped to fix my arm band i-pod mid way and I thought I would nearly faint. I threw up my water! lol

Do you drink like a sports drink or juice or anything, or do you just go?

The only time I’ve felt severe pain like that is when I was really out of shape. If you exercise regularly and don’t feel like that amount of exercise was overexerting yourself, then I suggest you see a doctor to make sure everything is okay. 🙂

@ScarletBegonia: LOL funny you should say about hangover runs…I did that my senior year of high-school several times I felt unstoppable, probably cause i still had crap food and drinks in my system! . I also did sketchy things like stay up all night writing a paper, and then though since I was up at 4:40 am , I should just go for a run now, so when I got home from school I could crash.

Now a days mornings completely crush me.
